Part Ninety-Three
"Harry offered to drive us," I tell the girls. Harry stands behind me while we talk and get ready for the trip, Morgan watching Harry very closely. His hand places on the small of my back as he leans down, whispering he'll be in the car. I nod and he walks out the door.
"You have your phone right'" Gabby asks, my head nodding. We all grab our bags and walk out, Emma closing the house door behind us. My hand opens the passenger side door, getting in and grabbing Harry's casted hand.
"Just relax. I won't let them make you feel uncomfortable," I smile for his reassurance, his head turning and kissing my forehead. The girls crowd into the backseat of the car, their voices bringing the noise level in the car high.
"So Harry, I don't actually know what you do," Gabby says, implying her interest in getting to know Harry.
"Uh, I train people. Mainly boxing, but I work in a gym." My thumb rubs against his, soothing the tension in his body. He's afraid of being judged and ridiculed by them.
"Does that mean you have abs and stuff?" Morgan bluntly asks, my lips smiling. My head nods and they laugh, Harry smiling. They begin the ask him easy questions, like his middle name, his age, his birthday, or his favorite food.
"Have you ever seen The Avengers?" Emma asks, Harry responding with a no.
"Oh, you have to see it! Chris Evans' ass is amazing," Morgan says, my lips in a smile.
"Eh," Harry smiles, causing us all to laugh.
"Don't even gets started on Channing Tatum," Gabby remarks, the girls in the back laughing and continuing to talk; my focus remains on Harry. He's upset; I know it.
"Harry?" I whisper, his head turning and glancing at me.
"Just relax. I love you," I whisper, his head nodding. He turns on the air conditioning and the car becomes relatively silent, the early hour still leaving us tired. My head leans on Harry's shoulder and I close my eyes, his fingers holding onto my hand.
"Can we stop somewhere to get food?" Emma asks, her fingers playing on her phone.
"Sure," Harry agrees, pulling off the freeway and asking where to go. The girls agree on the local diner, simply just wanting a good breakfast. Harry pulls into the parking lot and the girls get out, but Harry locks me in.
"I'm afraid I'm going to freak out again," he tells me, his eyes watching my friends enter the restaurant.
"Harry, you won't. You took your medication and you have me here. It won't happen," I assure him.
Quickly, I lean over and kiss him, his thumb unlocking the doors. We get out and his hand wraps around mine tightly as we make our way towards my friends' table. Harry and I sit on one side while the other girls cram into the other.
"Aren't you guys the cutest," Emma says, Harry's hand tightening. I don't know how to respond so I give a simple smile, Harry's lips kissing the side of my head.
"How's your relationship?" Harry blurts, looking at Gabby. She smiles and says that she and Zayn are getting along well, Gabby helping Zayn overcome his possessive and angry demeanor.
"That's good. He's had a rough life," Harry says, Gabby's eyes widening.
"You know him too?!" Harry nods and says they used to be good friends, then Zayn had a falling out (which I only assume was his wife), and Harry left him because he became angry.
"Falling out?" Gabby questions, Harry leaning his body towards mine.
"I believe it isn't my place to tell. I'm sure he'll tell you." She nods and we take our order. The waitress smiles at us all and walks away once she finishes writing.
