You wake up the next morning in the huge familiar bed that you had previously stayed in not long ago. The image of your father bending down on one knee appears in your mind. You couldn't actually believe your dad was engaged. Again. But Heather would be such a wonderful mother. You could just tell by the way she acted that she would be perfect. But when was the wedding going to be? I guess they have a little time to decide for that. You absolutely loved weddings and the romance and happiness that came along with them. Maybe one day you and Liam would be able to experience having a wedding, that is, if you lasted that long. If you were going to get married, you would have to stay together for the rest of your lives. Were you willing to make that sacrifice? You knew for sure that you loved Liam, but how would he feel about marriage? You decided to forget about it and possibly bring up the subject another time.
You shift positions in bed, which causes Liam to stir. You lay on your back and turn your head to look at him. He was honestly so beautiful. I know it's strange to call a guy beautiful, but that was the only way to describe him. Whenever he slept, the crease marks from his forehead were no longer visble, and his eyebrows were not furrowed together like they usually are when he's trying to act tough. He looks absolutely innocent and angel-like as he sleeps. You had no idea how such an angelic creature ended up with someone like you. You didn't deserve him. Sometimes you wondered why he even liked you so much? There is nothing special about you. No talents. No beauty. No anything.
His eyes open and he furrows his eyebrows together at the sunlight streaming through the window into his face. A small smile appears on your face as you watch him wake up. He notices you watching him and returns the smile.
"What?" he asks through his rough morning voice as he stretches.
"Nothing," you say while still smilling like an idiot. You were in a good mood today for some reason. Maybe because everything in your life seemed somewhat good. Except for the whole Niall ordeal. Which brings up the question about how you still needed to ask Liam what he was going to tell you last night about Niall.
"Okay," he says with a chuckle and pulls you closer to him. You nuzzle into his chest and just lay there. You decide to ask him later because you were enjoying the stillness of the moment, and how incredibly warm Liam was.
The smell of bacon frying downstairs arouses you to finally get out of bed. It was already almost 10:00, and as much as you wanted to stay in bed with Liam all day, you really wanted to eat too.
Liam looks up at you with his puppy dog face, "Leaving so soon?" You laugh in response and head to the bathroom that was attached to the bedroom.
Soon after, a knock is heard on the door and Liam appears, his tall frame filling the doorway. He was shirtless, but had on his grey cotton sweatpants, his feet bare. You grab the spare toothbrush that you used last time you were here, only to have it removed from your hand.
"Liam, I really need to brush my teeth," you say, attempting to steal the toothbrush back. He had it held high in the air where you coudn't possibly reach it.
"Liam," you whine and jump to try and take it. He is finding this way more amusing than it actually was. He stands there laughing at you while you jump in the air trying to grab it.
He walks over to a shelf and places it on the very top one that was far out of your reach.
"Why am I not allowed to brush my teeth?" you question. He turns back around and smirks at you.
"Because we have to shower first."
You stifle out a laugh, "Well why didn't you just tell me that instead of stealing my toothbrush and teasing me with it?"
