THE DECEASED

THE WHOLE ORDEAL OF DARYL being shot wasn't nearly as worrying as the barn full of walkers. Aurora's mind was completely consumed with the fear of being eaten alive whilst asleep, all because some farm family thinks they're still human. That's Aurora's theory, anyway. She wanted to tell somebody, but what Maggie had said was still making Aurora reconsider her options.
If she told Shane, he would definetly do something rash. The same goes for Andrea, too. T-Dog might be a good person to talk to, and Dale, but secrets don't last forever. Aurora exhaled deeply, her eyes rolling into the back of her head. The one person she trusted most was Glenn, but there was that weird, awkwardness between them from him refusing to talk to her.
"Glenn?" she muttered, finding him sat outside the RV. Dale and T-Dog lingered beside him, chatting quietly among themselves. Glenn glanced up, his eyes brightening as they fell on Aurora.
"Y-yeah?" he asked, caught off guard by her approach. Aurora folded her arms across her chest, beckoning her head forward, trying to signal for Glenn to follow her. She couldn't tell Glenn about the barn with people around; things would spread like wildfire.
"I need to talk to you," Aurora said, tapping her foot against his. He raised his eyebrow and nodded, standing to his feet. And as they walked, Aurora felt increasingly more nervous, but it wasn't because she needed to tell Glenn about the barn. She hated the thought of Glenn making her weak, because lately one of the things on her mind wasn't protecting the group; it was protecting him.
Aurora opened her mouth, but Glenn cut her off.
"I'm sorry," he said, "about the other night. What I said about Maggie, and then telling you to forget it... it was dumb. Can we just forget it?"
It caught Aurora off guard, but in a good way. She smiled and exhaled a sigh of relief, nodding. But the smile only lasted a moment, because of what she had to say next.
"You know that there's a barn here," she began, trying to explain this in a way that wouldn't cause Glenn to overreact. "Look, I'm not saying these people are crazy. But this shit that they're doing is crazy. There's-"
She lowered her voice. "Glenn, there's walkers in the barn."
His skin grew pale, and Aurora could see the fear pulsating under his skin. He opened his mouth a few times, then swallowed and shook his head.
"Are you serious?" he questioned. Aurora rolled her eyes, scoffing slightly.
"No, Glenn, April fools," she spat, sarcastically, "of course I'm serious."
"Sorry," Glenn muttered, shaking his head, "it's just this is... how do you even know about this? Like, finding out that there's a barn full of walkers isn't something you just come across."
"Shane and I did some snooping," Aurora shrugged, ignoring the puzzled look on Glenn's face.
"Wait, you and Shane were together? Alone?" Glenn asked, scratching the back of his head. His tone of voice was normal, but there was a twang of annoyance that Aurora could hear. She loved it.
"Does it matter?" Aurora smirked, her eyes lighting up, "you're not jealous, are you?"
Glenn gulped deeply, before shaking his head and rubbing his palms onto his jeans.
