THE DECEASED

THE AMOUNT OF ANXIETY THAT Aurora felt after slapping Shane was indescribable. The group had decided to go on with the day as Rick thought of a solution. Shane didn't look at Aurora as he stormed off, anger radiating from his body.
She wrapped her arms around her body protectively, watching as Dale finally left the barn after giving it a final glance. Glenn was the only person who stayed with Aurora, concern written across his face.
"Are you okay?" he asked, delicately. Aurora glanced up from the tree she was looking st and shook her head, seeing no point in lying to Glenn.
"Do you..." Glenn began, stepping towards Aurora, "do you want a hug?"
Aurora felt tears burn in her eyes as she stared at Glenn. Her body must still be adjusting, because all she wanted to do was cry after that surge of emotions she felt.
He wrapped his arms around Aurora tightly, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder. Aurora felt safe in Glenn's arms, feeling as though time had stood still. His slow and steady heart beat was something Aurora focused on, and she felt her anxieties calming down as she closed her eyes. Her arms slowly came around Glenn, and she hugged him back. And it felt like forever, hugging Glenn. Aurora cherished every moments, her head tucked in the crook of Glenn's neck.
It was a good few minutes before Aurora pulled away from Glenn, feeling his hand move to push the hair from her eyes.
"You'd tell me if something was wrong, right?" Glenn checked, his voice has calm and quiet as ever. Aurora didn't want to hurt Glenn. And making him worried, in her mind, was the same as hurting him. As much as she wanted to talk to him about her bipolar disorder, every time she opened her mouth to do so, something stopped her.
"Of course," she lied, glancing behind her. Glenn's hand moved to Aurora's, and he locked his fingers with hers, offering her a smile.
"Thank you, Glenny," Aurora smiled. Glenn gulped, still holding onto Aurora's small and dainty hands. Glenn raised his eyebrow, tugging on Aurora's hand to lead her away from the barn.
"For what?" he asked, Aurora's body brushes off of him. She couldn't help but smile at how cute Glenn was being.
"For everything," she responded, simply, "for being here. For being you."

Aside from punching Shane, the other thing on Aurora's mind was Maggie. The farmgirl had given Aurora very firm and clear messages on keeping the barn a secret, and since it was a secret anymore, Aurora didn't know what to think. The only thing her mind seemed to be focused on was that hug between her and Glenn, and her feelings for him were being confirmed.
"You think I should talk to Shane, don't you," Aurora said, her voice barely breaking a whisper. She and Glenn had been circling around the camp, Aurora laughing and smiling, despite feeling as though the world was against her.
"Well," Glenn began, nodding his head forward, "it's not a bad idea."
"I want too," Aurora sighed, her eyes turning to Glenn, "but, lets face it, I hit pretty hard."
