Chapter One: Four Years Later

The year was 854. Four years since the Battle of Shiganshina. Four years since the trek to the Yeager's basement. Four years since the Survey Corps found out the truth behind the walls, and the fact that there is civilization thriving outside of the walls (which were located on the island of Paradis). They also learned where the first Titans came from, and where all the Mindless Titans came from.

The Survey Corps had found out that there was a civilization outside of the Walls known as Marley, who had used some humans within their empire to turn into mindless Titans, using methods that remain unknown, in an attempt to raid the Walls. It turns out that Bertolt, Reiner, and Annie were serving Marley, and they were posing as Wall citizens in order to help speed up Marley's raid. Upon finding the truth out three years ago, the central government waged war with Marley. The war still goes on today, and though the people had managed to find out where the human-eating giants were coming from, they no longer live in the false prosperity, knowing that Marley could attack at any time.

Due to the war, more jobs, purposes, and protection were added to the three Military Branches. The Survey Corps not only had expeditions to kill of the Titans that Marley forced upon them, but they also became the main army that would fight battles and launch attacks. The Garrison had become more equipped and active, and they would help fight the battles if Marley and their forces came too close to the walls. The Military Police Brigade still kept law and order within Wall Sina, but they had to expand their forces to Wall Rose as well. They would be in charge of emergency evacuation, city protection alongside the other two military branches, and bodyguards for Queen Historia. The Military Police Brigade were less lazy and no longer corrupt, as those qualities weren't fit for this time and age.

More civilians enlisted in the military, and the Commanders of the three branches, Hange Zoe of the Survey Corps, Dot Pixis and his fellow commanders of the Garrison, and even Nile Dok of the Military Police Brigade, had to train the rookies every now and then.

Though the times where information about the Titans were unknown were filled with darkness, the times of the war with Marley had casted a figurative smoke cloud over the the people of the Walls. But little the citizens know that things were about to get way more interesting, starting off with a certain captain of the Survey Corps...

Oooooooohhhhhhhhh. Things are going to get really interesting. At least, I hope they will. Sorry about the short chapter. I'll try to make the chapters long.
