A/N: Yep!! This scene has action in it, as well as a little Rivetra moment (duh). I've never written an action scene before, so if this chapter sucks, PLEASE give me some constructive criticism. I seriously will appreciate it. Oh, and like I said before, sorry about the unfaithfulness to the Marley Arc. But this is a fan fiction.

Remember what I said about how the war had everyone's nerves shot? Well, the truth was, Marley never gave Paradis Island a true, genuine surprise attack before. Usually, they would just punish some Mainlander Eldian by turning them into a mindless titan so they could sick them on the Islanders. However, they never showed up and attacked. Not until today.

The day had started off it's usual way; false moments of peace. The Survey Corps had gone into Wall Maria to do some inventory, too see if it was safe, and that all of the hidden trapdoors for women and children were underneath. They had started off with Shiganshina, where they were grouped into teams of three. Levi's group was with two of the Squad Levi members, Petra and... Auruo. No, I'm just messing with you! The third member was Eren. The group had retreated to an empty alley, where there a trapdoor for an underground hiding area.

Why the hell does everyone think that the best areas are underground? Basements? Cities?

However, Levi's inner venting was interrupted by grumbling adjacent to him. Eren was muttering as he felt for the trapdoor, not one to keep his anger to himself.

"Are you alright, Eren," Levi asked, "You look a little feverish."

"I'm fine," he had replied, walking out of the alley. He was lying, and the both could tell.

"Poor boy," Petra said sympathetically, "This was his hometown after all. It must make him so nostalgic."

"Not to mention that one civilian," Levi replied.

Allow me to explain. While doing inventory of the market area, Eren may or may not have ran into an old... bully from his past. If you know what I mean. Even may or may not have learned that one of the three bullies from his past was disappeared (more likely, he was killed) during the Fall of Shiganshina during 845. And he may or may not have been reminded of his mother and Mr. Hannes. Long story short, he was in a bad mood for the rest of the day.

"Either way, however Eren is feeling from that encounter, we still need to stay on track," Levi replied.

He hadn't expected a slight giggle from behind. When Levi turned around, Petra was holding her hand over her mouth, a blush creeping across her face. Checking in each direction that no one was around. Considering that this was an alley that no one wanted to go into unless there was a raid, no one was there. And like I said, Eren already left.

"What are you doing?" He smiled.

"Oh?" Petra replied, "Did I not mention how incredibly sexy you look when you are incredibly stoic?"

"Save it with the rest of the fangirls," Levi replied, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her forehead.

"Oh please," Petra laughed, "I don't need to do that around them, for I am their queen."

A warm loving embrace had also melted into small pecks on the lips. How he wished it could be like this forever, but of course... fate had other plans, starting off with a loud BANG that practically shook the walls.

"Gah!" Levi was yanked out of Petra's arms as he fell to the floor, getting up not to long after. Petra was on the ground, brushing off the dust. He lent her a hand, which she appreciatively accepted.

"Thank you," she said, "What was that?"

"I don't know," Levi replied, "We oughta check it out."

Running to the outer part of Shiganshina had proved itself almost impossible, as panicked civilians were running to Ymir-knows-where. Levi can remember seeing Military Police soldiers leading the civilians to safe spots.

"What's going-" The answer was given to him in the next second.

"MARLEY!!! THEY'RE ATTACKING!!!" He had heard a soldier cry out.

And, from what Levi can remember, that's when all hell broke loose.

A/N: And I know you're probably thinking, "Oy!! You've never separated your chapters into parts before!!" Well, I've just made history! I separated the two chapters into parts because I figured that the whole battle sequence would be long.

And sorry about skipping the update last weekend. I actually got pink eye, so I had to wait until I got better. But besides that, how am I doing with my Saturday/Sunday schedule? Comment down below.
