A few months had past since the news of the Original Squad Levi had been discovered. In that time, the Survey Corps had found reports to Erwin Smith, written by Petra herself, upon which Levi found himself daydreaming every now and then. The notes had revealed every piece of information that they had known, and they had even revealed where their current location was, as the original Squad Levi, unbeknownst of Erwin's death four years earlier, had kept sending him information, which the messenger assigned to delivering the reports had just hid in another old, hidden file. Hange had then written a letter to Petra that revealed every happening in the course of four years, and told her that they were coming to rescue her, upon which she asked the same messenger to deliver to Petra, which he successfully did so.However, he also came back with a small envelope in his hand, which he handed to Hange, which she had read before giving it to Levi Heichou, as he was Petra's squad-leader... ish.

Levi had been finishing testing out a new type of weapon that one of the soldiers had stolen from one of the Marleyan war prisoners. It was called a "bomb", and if you turn it on, and throw it somewhere, it will soon explode all over the place (A/N: Hajime Isayama stated that the ODM/3DM Gear were the largest forms of technology within the walls, so I don't know if they had bombs or not), and leave a whole bunch of casualties and rubble. Eren and Armin, with Levi in their prescence, had tested it out on the new fleet of Marleyan war-ships aimed for Paradis, and sure enough, every single Warrior and Marleyan soldier had been blown to pieces, as well as every ship sent there. Sure, it was super messy, but it was a super good weapon for Paradis, as it could possibly give them a bit of an upper-hand. It was the moment he came back that Hange came running toward them.

Tch. She probably came to pick up her baby Titans, Levi thought to himself, staring at Eren and Armin, who both had looks of nervousness on their faces, as another experiment could possibly be scheduled for them if Hange was running towards them. However, as she got closer, Levi noticed that Hange's face held seriousness and surprise. After reaching them, she stopped to take a breath or two... or maybe 40. She was wheezing so badly that you think she could blow the walls down in one blow.

But after taking her breaths, Hange jumped up onto her feet and started waving her hand, where something rectangular and white was being clutched so tightly that it was as wrinkly as an old crone (A/N: No offense to old people). And yet for some reason, she was looking Levi in the eye, with a look on her face that made it look like he committed an act of treason so big that it couldn't be able to fit in a Titan's mouth if it was a human.

"Levi... Heichou... I.... have a.... letter!!" Hange gasped and wheezed as if her life depended on it.

"I noticed, Commander," Levi said, annoyed that Four-Eyes came all this way just to brag that she got a letter.

"For... you!!" Hange wheezed.

This got Levi interested. Unless it was another love letter from some civilian girl or a message from the higher-ups, Levi never got any letters. He grabbed the wrinkled envelope out of Hange's hand and saw that it had her (A/N: By her, I mean Hange) name on it. And though it was pre-opened and not for him, Levi wanted to know why Hange gave him her letter to read. Unless it was something that involved all of the Survey Corps higher-ups.

"Who is it from?" Levi asked.

Hange's eyes became a wide as plates, her ears tensed up so much that they looked like they were going to blow.

"Remember the letter I sent to Petra Ral?" Hange asked.

At the mention of Petra, Levi got interested. What did this have to do with Petra?

"She wrote me a reply, and I thought you oughta see it,"

Levi grabbed the letter out of the envelope and held it in his hands. He didn't want to look to excited in front of everyone, especially Eren, who would tease him later on about how he was probably thinking the letter was a secret love letter of Levi.

The hand-writing was neat and pretty, but it was her words that sent Levi into a daze for the rest of the day.

Dear Commander Hange,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Commander Erwin, but I heard that the Eldians on Paradis Island found out about Marley, Eldia, and everything in general. Forgive us for not telling anybody, but it was on specific orders of Commander Erwin that we couldn't say anything. Forgive us, but it was something that had to be done.

My comrades and I are fine, as we have posing as Mainladner Eldians in the Liberio Interment Zone for the past four years, and have been laying under the radar for a long time, so there is no need to rescue us.

This may seem like a ridiculous request, but have an expedition next week. If you raid Marley, it will be dangerous for the soldiers. If you have an expedition by the next week, my comrades and I will take a passageway that we have been sending our reports to Paradis and make our ways there. We shall meet you and tell you our teachings.

See you on Paradis.

Petra Ral.

Levi could feel his heart skipping at least 10 beats. Just seeing Petra's hand-writing, it made him feel so... relieved, you could say. But it worried him about how Petra, Gunther, Eld, and Auruo were gonna get to Paradis. What was the secret passageway? Where was it? Did Erwin know about it? Wait. Of course he would have.

"So should we do it?" Hange asked, "Marley hasn't been sicking anymore Titans on us, so it could-"

"Yes," Levi interrupted, not caring that he was interrupting his high officer, "You said we will get them back. If this is safer, then we are getting them back this way."

Levi then walked to his horse, which was waiting for him in a Titan-less field, safe and sound. After mounting on his horse, he rode off to the walls, determined that Petra, Gunther, Eld, and Auruo were coming home, leaving a shocked Hange and Armin, and a chuckling Eren in the distance.

Author's Note:

Sorry about the short chapter. I just didn't have any ideas on what to do after Levi read the letter. But don't worry. We are definitely seeing Petra soon, and then this Rivetra love-story will truly begin.

All rights of Attack on Titan go to Hajime Isayama.
