A/N: Straight to action now, shall we?
Paradis Island, a land of drastic change. What was meant to be land of illiterate darkness was now a land of so much knowledge. Knowledge on the hatred that awaited the Islanders outside of their shells. Knowledge that forced them out of a dark that no one even knew existed. The current status of these citizens; a dreadful state of panic so great, no one could narrate this without having breathing issues.
Blood and cries seemed to leach within every corner of the island. Somewhere from above was a rain-cloud of ash and dust, and the sound of cannons were drumming within every being's ears. Amongst the confusion and chaos was our favorite Corporal of the Survey Corps, barking orders to the nerve-shot soldiers. Next to him was his secret lover, who, like everyone else, was in a state of shock.
"Damn it!! Damn it!! Damn it!!" Levi kept muttering under his breath as soldiers from each military branch ran into the weapons shed, yanking at the vast amount of cannons, modified 3DM gear, original 3DM gear, guns, etc. Though, as usual, Levi kept his stoic face, his mind was like that of a hammer cracking his skill, filled with the questions that everyone was thinking. Why now? What for?
"Heichou?" Petra had tapped on his shoulder, breaking Levi out of his thoughts.
"Hmm?"
"I wish we could stay here as much as you, but Commander Hange is calling us," she replied.
"Oh? Right," Levi replied, running over to the sound of the four-eyed... he couldn't make fun of her. Not now. As Levi saw the crowd of higher-up soldiers and their commanders, his brain kept wandering to the motive behind this surprise attack. But those questions had to wait, as Darius Zackly, commander of every military branch, began his speech.
"Now I know you are all wondering about what this surprise attack from the enemy is about," Zackly shouted, quietly so that the outside couldn't hear him, but loud enough for those inside to, "Trust me, I wish to find out as well. But here is the thing... we are soldiers!! We don't have time to sit around and drink tea while we discuss the enemy's motive. We need to get moving, so get up and fight for our home!!!"
A shout of agreement echoed across the shed as the soldiers burst outside. Levi could see each and everyone of them fly like birds, weapons at the ready. However, he mentally winced as he heard the gun-shots ricochet off of buildings and bodies.
"We have to go," he muttered, dragging his squad along outside.
Levi had to keep reminding himself not to stare down at the scene below him as he flew on the 3DM gear. Bodies everywhere, people writhing in pain as they were dying, homes leveled. Like that of the Shiganshina Titan Attack nine years ago. His navy-blue eyes scanned the crowd for the enemies and their base. And that was when he found it, the bunch of enemy soldiers shooting at the Eldian people, ransacking houses, attacking civilians. But that was also when Levi heard it. Their words.
"WHERE IS SHE!!!???"
"WELL, GIVE HER BACK!!!"
"WHERE IS THE FEMALE TITAN!!!???"
Wait a minute... Oh, sweet Ymir!!! So that's what they are here for.
They had come for Annie Leonhart.

Okay, I am getting really excited writing this!! I cannot stop!! Okay, and I know what you're thinking. Why is this arc of the story Annie-centric!? We want Rivetra!? And that's what you'll get.
