Sorry if this chapter is short, and sorry I didn't update on Saturday, or the Saturday before that, and even before that... but I've been extremely busy, and my old computer caught an unknown virus. And since I am on a tight schedule (Plus, I'm super tired)........................ please enjoy what I've got?
(TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY EREN'S LONG HAIR: Three Months)
Talk and excitement had spread like a wildfire on Paradis, Island/Eldia. After all, in the newspapers, it was revealed that Queen Historia was throwing a ball (A/N: Not in the gross way, but basically, Historia is throwing a fancy party. Wait, you all should know this), and everyone of the Island was invited to attend, The ball was being held at the castle in Mitras, and even though it was a week away, everybody was doing whatever they could to get ready and be extremely presentable. Yes, I said everybody. Historia, being who she is, invited all people of all classes to attend, so it wasn't just the MPs and noblemen. It was everybody, regardless of status and money. Men were at their local tailor shops to get their suits in order and fitted, while women were out blowing money on fancy new outfits for themselves and their children, who were busy chatting about what all could possibly be there. But let us get back to our favorite captain of the Survey Corps, shall we?
Because of all the outroar the party had caused, the MPs on their own needed all the help they could get for making the castle as extravagant as it already was. But then again, they were the Military Police Brigade, and they ALWAYS needed help with important work. ALWAYS. So they, reluctantly, asked almost all of the Survey Corps for help, as the Garrison needed to work over-time to protect the walls. But that's where our fun begins for this chapter.
"This floor needs to shine, dammnit!!" Levi grumbled as he shouted commands for windows to sparkle, floors to shine, decorations to be precise, etc.
Naturally, when Levi had heard they needed to help make the castle look extravagant, he immediately put himself, as well as his squad, on cleaning duty. The gigantic Squad Levi had been split into little groups, where each room that could possibly be occupied was tackled down by the Survey Corps cleaners.
Levi was now checking up on Group 4, which consisted of Eren Yeager, Auruo Bozad, Petra Ral, Eld Gin, and Gunther Schultz. Basically, the group that was tackling the most important room of all was his old squad in general, and his most trusted. Eren practically ran all over the place on his hands and knees, rags in between them, while Petra mopped (and she mopped beautifully), Auruo and Gunther dusted the grand staircase, while Eld cleaned almost every window there possibly was. From one regular person's perspective, the ballroom was perfect, but this is not a regular person. This was Levi Ackerman, and in his perspective, they probably needed to spend the night cleaning.
"Yeager! You call that cleaning!?" Auruo said, a... somewhat stone-cold stare etched on his face.
"F-forgive me, Auruo," Eren stuttered as he started cleaning elegantly.
"Auruo, leave him alone!! He is trying very hard!!" Petra shouted, "And now your imitations of Levi Heichou are getting extremely disgusting!"
"Meh, it's not like he'll ever know," Auruo said.
What? Levi had a tecnique for being so quiet, it was like he wasn't there.
"Excuse me, Bozad?" Levi said, causing every head to turn his way.
Eren immediately stood up and saluted to Levi Heichou, as did everyone else, but immediately after that, Eren muttered that Auruo was sooooooooo dead, Petra slapped her forehead, Gunther and Eld began to snicker, while Auruo yelped like a dog.
"Stop imitating me. I've known about it, even since four years ago," Levi said blankly before stepping out of the room, leaving Auruo to whine in humiliation, Eren to start consoling him, Petra to rub it in Auruo's face, and Gunther and Eld to laugh out loud.
"Looks like you've broken your own record," Gunther laughed.
"On what?"
"The most embarrassing moment of your life," Eld replied, "After all, who was it that peed their pants alongside Petra on their first expedition".
Petra started screaming while Auruo began chasing Eld and Gunther across the ballroom.
"Wait, don't!!" Eren shouted, "I just finished cleaning the floor."
From outside the ballroom, Levi heard everything, and he couldn't help but chuckle before going back into the ballroom to settle everything.
