Author's Note: I hope it didn't take so long to update. I get really bad writer's block every time I publish a chapter. Well, for now, the block has been taken down, and I am back with another chapter of "Shock". The title should tell you everything. Oh, and warning, prepare for some feels.
Levi was always a stranger when it came to feelings. Where he grew up, the Underground District of Wall Sina, showing your feelings was showing that you are weak, unless those feelings were rage. He learned that lesson during an "incident" after his Mom died, he was out on a job for his recent client (This happened before he met Kenny, who you probably know if you've read the manga), thinking about his mom, when he got distracted and bumped into someone. In the Underground, bumping into someone is like leaving a burning bag of dog poop on someone's front door, ringing the doorbell, and running away before they can answer the door, which is pretty insulting. Because when he bumped into the person, the man's face became as red as a tomato, upon which he shouted at Levi. This lead to Levi shedding a few tears, upon which soon after, the man and his buddies beat the poor kid up so much that he could no longer stand. They would have killed him if the MPs who were stationed down there hadn't come and took him "home". Ever since that day, Levi knew that he could never show his emotions, even if something hurt him so much. So whenever there was so feelings lingering around to a point where he couldn't take it anymore, Levi just couldn't get used to the emotions.
Yet, his empty, blankness couldn't keep ahold of him after the meeting with... him that night. After the meeting, everyone had set out to accomplish the duties Hange assigned them to, meaning that Levi had gone to tell the families of the not-so-fallen Squad Levi soldiers the news containing their children. He prepared his horse for their trek to Karanes District, which he knew was the hometown of Gunther, Eld, Auruo, and Petra. Levi had hoped to never set foot in Karanes again, as the pain from that little meeting with Mr. Ral always caught hold of him. But hopefully, instead of tears of pain and sorrow, Levi would soon see tears of the purest joy on Mr. Ral's face

Quick Author's Note: Sorry to interrupt the story, but I just thought I'd clear a few things up with you. I am going to skid over Levi's conversations with the families of Gunther, Eld, and Auruo just a bit. Not too much, I hope, but just a bit, that way we can get to point of the chapter, which is his meeting with Petra's father.

First, Levi had stopped by Eld's house, where he was greeted by a young woman once he knocked on the door (A/N: If most of you Attack on Titan fans were paying a little closer attention, when they showed us all of Squad Levi's families, then you should know that Eld was either married or in a relationship. I'll just say they were married.) The young woman's dark-blonde hair was styled into a braid that hung down her shoulders, she had ocean-blue eyes (He would know, considering he would make trips to the ocean every now and then), and wore a blood-red dress with a white apron and leather shoes. She revealed herself to be Eld's wife, well, she shakingly referred to it as Eld's widow, before inviting him in. There, he met with Eld's mother, who had greeted Levi as well. Both of them had asked him the reason for his visit. It was there Levi everything, starting from the discovery of Erwin's notes, to the plans that were intending to retrieve the soldiers. As he finished, he noticed the look of pure shock on the two women's faces, before tears had glided on their faces. Eld's mother squeezed Levi in a tight hug, sobbing with absolute joy, and Eld's wife, whose name was revealed to be Hannah, was smiling so happily as her tears of joy fell to the floor. Before Levi left, both of thanked him continuously, and Hannah even stopped him before he went, as she had a request. She asked Levi that when she brought Eld back to the walls, bring him home. He said he will bring all of them home before going off on his way.
