Prisoner of The Dark Sign

Chapter 2

Crystal's Pov

(This is Crystal)

I remained in the shadows of my cell and didn't make a sound. Down here there is no sound and no light. Just silence and darkness. I am all alone down here and that is not by mistake. They, the Dark Signers, had planned this.

They think that by keeping me down here in complete darkness, all alone with not a single soul is a good thing. The Dark Signers believe that by leaving me down here alone, will rid me of the light and goodness inside of me, thus leaving me weak and vulnerable.

I say vulnerable because with the light and goodness inside of me gone, it will make it easier to make my heart go black and darkness roam freely through my veins. That is the second goal of the Dark Signers. The other is to destroy the Signers, so that darkness fills the earth.

But despite their best efforts through the past years, The darkness has been unable to get inside of me. I have fought it off and keep the light and goodness inside of me. But even I know that their methods will soon break through and I will lose.

Their methods include shocking me badly using the chain that is currently attached to my arm, filling my mind with fake truths and horrible thoughts, and burning me lightly with their purple flames.

I'm guessing that the way my burns heal so quickly, they use some sort of dark magic or a spell card. Or something like that.

Do I hate them?

Yes.

Is there a chance that they will win?

Yes.

Will they succeed in destroying the light and goodness in me?

Never.

"It is time?"

I looked up and I heard the Dark Signers walk down the hall. I stood and I remained in the shadows of my corner. As they passed one stopped and looked at me and the others stopped as well. The one looking at me smiled a little, his white hair was half hidden by his hood.

"Why Crystal, why don't you come out from your corner? Are you scared of us?" He said with a laugh that sounded more that of a cackle than a laugh.

"I ain't scared of a bunch of sewer rats who are a bunch of cowards." I snapped.

The one who I guessed was the leader frowned and he said "I'd watch it, Crystal."

I scoffed and one of them smiled and she said "A little bit rude that comment was."

I watched as she took out a card from her pocket and my eyes widened as I knew what that card was. It was Chain shocker, which allows the duelist's opponent to be shocked. In this case that would be me and instead of me being a opponent, I was a prisoner.

She placed the card on her duel disk and it glowed and my chain was electrocuted. I let out a cry and I dropped to my knees. I gritted my teeth against the pain and waited until it was gone. I glared up at them as they all laughed and one of them spoke.

"That was quite enjoyable to watch. Kalin, it will be your turn to attempt to rid of the light and goodness inside of her." The leader said.

I saw Kalin grin and he said "Oh but of course. We will have lots of fun tonight won't we?"

I glared at him and knowing what would come after, I spat at his feet. He chuckled and he took out the same card as the girl Dark Signer had played and placed it on his duel disk. An electrical shock went through my body and I let out another cry of pain.

I slowly struggled to push past the pain and push my body up and into my corner. I thumped against the wall and gritted my teeth once more against the pain. They all wore matching grins and then they walked away leaving me alone.

That is until Kalin comes back to torture me.

Roman's Pov

"It is time for us to make ourselves known to the signers." I said, sitting at the head of the table.

Devack nodded and he said "I agree."

He paused and said "And what of our little prisoner?"

He was talking about that girl Crystal, that we have in the darkest cell. I had taken her from New Domino city and brought her here. She is feisty and fights against our attempts against her. So I made it my goal to destroy the light and goodness in her.

If I succeed then she will be on the dark side. I sense that she is very powerful and if she was on our side then she would be unstoppable. The Signers would fall, with her help, and we will rule everything.

"We will continue to drain the light out of her." I said.

"Ugh, we have been doing this for a long time and have gotten nowhere." Misty said.

Kalin smiled and he said "I quite enjoy attempting to rid her of the light inside of her."

I looked at him and said "And what about your goal?"

Kalin's smile went away and he said "I will complete my goal and then when it is done I will destroy the light in Crystal."

I frowned and said nothing.

I looked at the time and I said "So be it. It is time to see if you can make the light in her go away for good, Kalin."

He grinned and stood up from the table and walked away. His cackling laugh echoed through the room as he left.
