Prisoner of The Dark Sign

Chapter 29

Jack's Pov

I held her in my arms felt a tear slip down my face when she said my name softly. 

I had missed her so much. And seeing her in those chains when we dueled Goodwin, pained me deeply inside. I keep thinking that if I had tried hard enough and not made those stupid decisions then she would be safe. And would not have been in pain.

Or became a dark signer. 

"I thought I had lost you." I muttered. 

She looked up at me and she said "It wasn't the first time you lost me."

She stepped away from me and said "I am surprised you didn't give up looking for me."

"Crystal, I-"

She looked at me and then she suddenly lunged forward and pushed me away. I landed on the floor and I saw one of those grabbers we use to use when Yusei, Crow and I were the Enforcers. Anyway, I saw it smash through the window and latch itself onto Crystal's arm. 

It pulled but she pulled back we were all shocked and then with a hard pull the grabber thing yanked Crystal out the window. 

I rushed to the window and without hesitating I jumped out the window. Yusei and Crow called after me but I landed on the ground and I saw Crystal on the ground with the grabber thing still on her arm. I looked at the grabber's owner and narrowed my eyes in hate.

"Hello enforcer. Or is it just Jack now?" A voice in the shadows slurred. 

"Antonio." I growled.

Yusei and the others came out just as Antonio came out from the shadows. He had his black hair hanging on the left side of his face. He jerked the grabber and Crystal stumbled closer to him. She casted a glare at him and he simply smiled down at her.

"Pretty thing." He looked up at me and said "She yours?"

"Yeah. And I suggest you let her go." Crow snapped.

Antonio grinned more and said "No way."

"And why not?" Yusei asked.

"You took everything from me. My deck, my duel disk, my friends. Everything." He said.

"Now," he looked at Crystal and said "I'm taking something that means a lot to you, away."

"Leave her out of this." I growled.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. You see I don't take orders from you. And she now belongs to me. See ya around Signers." He said.

He dropped a smoke bomb and I rushed forward and I felt Crystal's hand before it slipped, like butter, out of my hand and was gone. When the smoke cleared, she was gone again!! 

"NO!" I cried. "She's gone!"

"Maybe not." Akiza said.

I looked at her and I said "Are you blind?! She is gone and Antonio took her."

She glared at me and said "If Antonio is as dumb as he looked, then he will challenge you to a duel to win Crystal back."

"If he does, then he won't be alone." Yusei said.

"And neither will I." I said.

Yusei nodded and said "You got that right. And Antonio will wish he had stayed in the shadows."

He was right. I was going to make Antonio pay for taking my sister from me. I had just got her back. I had to duel to bring her back from the darkness and I had to duel to save her from Goodwin. Though I had caused her pain each time. Physically and emotionally. 

I admit it. I haven't been the best big brother back then and since she got back but I sure as hell will do all I can to keep her safe. Though if she is anything like I am, she will try to keep me safe and thus put herself in danger. 

Just like she did back in Yusei's friend Alex's place. She was staring out the window with a distant look and she had pushed me away, when I thought she was going to hit me. I would have deserved it if she did. With the crummy job of a brother I've done. A punch would be nothing.

She had seen that duel disk grabber coming. She had saved me and ended up in Antonio's hands. Who knows what he and his gang will do to her. And of all the duel gangs we took down when Kalin and Yusei and Crow and I were in the Enforcers. Antonio's was the worst. 

Which scared me the most. 

Crystal's Pov

What is it with people and revenge and using me to get that revenge?!

I tried to figure out a way out of here but there was no way for me to escape. That being that I was inside of a small, and tall rectangle metal box. I did slam myself against the walls many time. The only thing that got me was a sore body. 

So here I am sitting and waiting to see what exactly Antonio has planned for me. Whatever it is, I ain't gonna stick around to let it play through. 

I'm going to get out of here.

And I'm going to.......

"Hello again Crystal."

My blood went cold at the sound of a all too familiar voice.

I turned around and my eyes widened in fear. A man,whom I thought was long gone, stood in the only exit I had out of this rectangle. His smile on his face and his light brown hair hanging half in his face.

"Sayer."
