Prisoner of The Dark Sign

Chapter 17

Akiza's Pov

The dark sign of a tiger went from the sky. 

But why was it there in the first place?

Who was the dark signer and who was dueling? 

It had to be one of us because the mark on my arm glowed and when the mark went away. My mark faded. 

I looked back to the sky and I frowned. I wondered who had dueled and if they had won or not.

What? 

What happened? What was.....

Sayer. 

He betrayed me. And he lied to me! 

Well. 

That didn't matter now. 

Now. I had to finish this duel. And fast or I'll be in big trouble.

"It must feel good leaving people to suffer while you go on with your life. Right Akiza?"

I looked at Misty and I said "What are you talking about?"

She smiled and said "I'm willing to tell you but I'm even more willing to show you."

She drew a special card and she said "I play present memories. This card allows me to show you a very special memory that occurred today."

I blinked in shock as a whole new memory of Misty's....no.....not Misty's......of all of the Dark Signers, appeared and began. 

I watched in horror as Yusei's friend and Crystal rode back up to the house we left on his duel runner. A new Dark Signer appeared and challenged, more like forced, Crystal into a shadow duel. I didn't know what his reason was for but I saw the duel begin.

Crystal was new to this dueling world so she had a bit of trouble getting the upper hand. The Dark Signer had attacked and then I saw a shift in her eyes. Her physic powers must have came up and she soon gained the upper hand.

But then after her Pandora's Box card's effect was done. The Dark Signer launched a major attack on her, destroying her monsters and Crystal shielded herself and then........she was gone. It was clear she had lost. 

So.....

What happened to her?

The memory shifted and what I saw scared and shocked me to the bone.

"It......it can't be." I said.

Misty smiled and she said "But it is. And it is the fate of all you signers!"

I looked at her and then she went still and looked up to and she said something but for some reason I didn't hear her. 

Then after a moment her dark signs went away and her eyes went back to normal. Then I heard a voice. 

I knew that voice. It was Yusei's!

I looked at him and then at Misty and she said "You must end this duel Akiza. I cannot fight the darkness anymore!"

She cried out and I saw the darkness take control of her body. She or really the darkness made the earthbound immortal attack but I used my face down and halfed the damage I would have taken and that took my life points down to 200.

I then played my turn and brought out Black Rose Dragon. But then the darkness played a card when I went to attack the earthbound immortal, and was about to get rid of the rest of my life points.

Then as the blast came near, I saw Misty.

"It's ok Akiza, you can end this. You owe it to the signers. To Crystal." She said with a soft smile.

"Are you sure?" I asked, unsure.

"Yes. Now listen closely. A soul can be saved from the darkness. One of pure light must hold that soul of darkness in their hands and make the soul light again." She said.

I was confused as to what she meant but I nodded and I closed my eyes and looked away and played my face down. Thus ending my duel. I had won.

I felt a sadness in me as I ignored Trudge, Luna and Leo, and Yusei. I walked past them and I picked up Misty's necklace. I held it in my hands and looked at the others. 

Then the ground began to shake. The sky then shone brightly and not one but two new signs appeared in the sky. One nearby and the other in New Domino City. 

"Two new signs? But who could they be?" Yusei asked.

I looked at the signs and said "I don't know Yusei. But I have a feeling we're about to find out."

Yusei's Pov

"Hey Yusei!"

We turned around and we saw Crow and Jack.

"Look who I ran into." Crow said.

"It's Crow and Jack." I said.

But I thought after his duel, he'd go back and get Crystal. 

"Yeah. And by the looks of it. It looks like we came right on time." Jack said.

And then the ground shook again and more lights came. They shone on us and we covered our eyes because of the brightness.

When the brightness went away we lowered our arms and found we were right under the first sign. Not the one in New Domino City. We looked up and it was the shape of a trident. 

"What the heck is going on and who is the trident for?" Leo asked.

"I do believe that would be mine."

That voice. 

I know it.
