Prisoner of The Dark Sign

Chapter 20

Jack's Pov

How could this have happen?

My little sister. 

I could not believe that she would become a Dark Signer. 

I felt anger grow inside of me. It was all the Dark Signers fault that she's like this! She escaped their grasps and they decide to make her a target. A target that the darkness hit full on. 

And what hurts the most is that I wasn't there for her. I didn't protect her. Now the darkness is using her pain to its advantage. And it's all my fault. 

I didn't even protect myself when she launched an attack on me. I was too shocked and surprised that she'd attack me. But then again, it was the darkness inside of her attacking me. But I feel it was also her. 

After all, Ever since I got her back she thought that I had left her and that I didn't care about her. That I rather she had stayed in the Dark Signers hands. I still don't even know what they did to her. 

In short. All of her hate and hurt that I had caused was the perfect thing for the darkness to latch onto and take over her. 

I swear I'll save her. I'll bring her back and I swear I will be the brother she deserves. 

But in order to do that I have to defeat her and end up hurting her in the process. 

I looked at her and I said "I summon Vice Dragon to the feild. And since I brought him out I can bring out one tuner monster. So welcome out Dark Resonater!"

"And since I brought those two out I tune Dark Resonater with Vice Dragon and Syncro Summon My favorite. Red Dragon Archfiend!"

"Alright Jack!" Akiza cheered.

I didn't look over at her and Yusei said "Nice job Jack."

I looked over at him and he gave me a little smile. 

I looked back at Crystal and I said "Now attack Red Dragon Archfiend! Attack Crone The King of the Hell Hounds!"

She looked at me with anger and she said "What?!"

Red Dragon Archfiend hitCrone The King of the Hell Hounds and destroyed it. Crystal let out a cry of pain as she took damage and her life points went down. She straightened herself and glared at us. 

It hurt me to cause her pain but if it's the only way to get my sister back then I will do it. I just hope she'll forgive me.

"I end my turn." I said. 

She looked from me to Yusei as it was now his turn. 

"I play my face down, Synchronized Realm! This card allows me to inflict 500 points of damage if I successfully Synchro Summon a Synchro monster. And since I successfully Synchro Summoned Junk Warrior. You now take damage." Yusei said. 

A blast of white came from the card and went straight to Crystal. The blast hit her and she flew back a few feet. She hit the concrete roof top and slammed into the small stone wall. I saw her wince in pain and she struggled to her feet. 

Her life points went down to almost half and I should feel glad that I'm close to freeing her. But no. I feel horrible for hurting her. 

"I'm sorry for causing you pain but-"

"But what?!" She snapped at me. 

She narrowed her eyes at me in anger and she said "You wouldn't know what real pain is, Jack. No. They protected you from that in the city didn't they?"

Before I could say anything she said "I play my face down. Physic Memory! This card allows me to show a memory I hold in my mind. Let's have a better viewing of what pain really is shall we?"

I watched as a memory came into my mind and I saw Devack burning Crystal with a purple flame. Crystal cried out and he burned her skin again and again until she begged for him to stop. Then he played a card that caused the chains on her to electricute her. 

My eyes widened as she cried out and dropped to her side unconscious. 

The memory faded and I blinked and looked at Crystal. My eyes were wide and she stood there and looked at me. They......they burned her. And........and electrocute her. She was being tortured and where was I? Living it up in the city being "the champion". 

"Understand now?" Crystal said in a cold tone and her voice was full of hate.

Hate that I deserve.

"Jack." 

I looked at Yusei and he said "What happened?" 

I ignored him and I looked back at Crystal and said "Finish your turn Yusei."

He looked at me and said nothing but gave a nod.

"Ok." He said. "I play the card Road Synchron. I also play the card Majestic Dragon! And with tuning Majestic Dragon with Road Synchron, I can rev this duel up with Stardust Dragon."

Well it's about time.

"I place a card face down and end my turn." He said.

Crystal smiled and said "My turn? Good. Because I'll start it off with using Dark King Hydra's special ability. Which allows me to attack either one opponent twice or two opponents once."

Say what?!

"Attack Dark King Hydra! Take out Yusei and Jack's life points!" Crystal called.

"Not so fast. I play my face down, Scarp Iron Scarecrow! Which sends your attack back and causes you direct damage." Yusei called. 

I cried out as the blast hit me and sent me flying. I groaned and looked up just as the attack meant for Yusei reflected off his card and right at Crystal. Her eyes widened and the attack hit her and caused her body to be electrocuted. 

She cried out and dropped to her knees and she gripped her chest with one arm and glared at us. A circle of wind blew around her as she stood up and her eyes glowed a little. 

"Jack, Yusei. Be careful! It's her physic powers!" Akiza called from behind us. 

"It's not nice to tick a Dark Signer off. I stop playing around now and finish this duel!!" Crystal said in a voice that was dark and not her own.

"I play Physic Summon! This card allows me to bring out Earthbound Hydronica Sisca! (Hydron-ica, sis-ca) to the feild!" She called.

The heart appeared and began to pump full of smoke and then up from the ground rose a gigantic Sea serpent. It floated in the air and my eyes widened and I knew both Yusei and I were now in big trouble! 

If I am to bring Crystal back. 

I'm going have to do it quick.

Or this duel might be over.
