Prisoner of The Dark Sign

Chapter 21

Jack's Pov

We have to get our act together. Now she has a dark synchro monster and an earthbound immortal. 

With me at 1000 from her attacks and Yusei untouched and her at 1800. This is a tight duel.

"Time for another lesson. I once again play Physic Memory!" Crystal called.

"Not so fast. I play my face down switch places!" I called. "This card allows me to take your physic memory and lets me show you one of my memories instead of you showing your memory." 

"What?!" She said.

Short Crystal's Pov

The memory started from the very past. 

It was Jack and he was running while rain was pouring down. He was looking for something. Tears were streaming down his face. 

What was he---

"Crystal!!" He cried out.

My eyes widened.

"Crystal where are you?!" He called out.

Oh my god. 

He was looking for me. 

The memory shifted and I saw him as he is now in an apartment with a picture of me on his nightstand. He was looking at it with tears falling down his face. 

"I'm still looking Crystal. I have paid spies everywhere, every low life place and every place in this city and satellite, looking for you."

He......he looked for me even in the city. 

The memory shifted again and he looked a few years older and he put my picture away and said "I can't continue, Crystal. It hurts too much."

This must have been when he stopped looking for me. 

So.......he did look for me.....he does care about me.........he didn't forget about me.

The memory shifted again and I saw him looking at me after Roman had given me to Yusei and the others as a "gift" and I saw the joy and happiness in his eyes. 

The memory shifted once more and I saw him riding on his duel runner and he stopped when his sign glowed. He stopped and looked at it confused and then he looked at the sky and his eyes widened and he cried out my name.

That must have been.......when I lost my duel and blacked out.  

Oh Jack. 

The memory faded and I blinked and tears fell down my face. 

I looked at Jack and I said mostly to myself "How could I have been so blind?"

"Crystal." Yusei said.

I looked up at him and he said "You didn't know. And how could you? The Dark Signers kept them away from you."

"I'm so sorry. I'll end this duel. I don't want to hurt you any more. I-"

I cried out in pain as a shot of pain went through me. 

"You will not sacrifice this duel! I won't allow it. You're mine now." A dark voice boomed in my mind. 

I cried out and dropped to my knees as another shot of pain went through me. 

"Crystal!" Jack called. "Fight it!"

"I.....I.....I can't." I cried. "Yusei, Jack. You have to finish this. Please! I can't fight any longer."

Yusei's Pov

After Jack played his face down, Crystal's eyes went back to her normal ones and not the dark signer ones. Tears fell down her face and she looked at Jack and I.

She then tried to end this duel and that is when the darkness came and she glowed in purple flames. She fought it but she couldn't hold on much longer.

"Yusei, Jack. You have to finish this. Please! I can't fight any longer."  She said. 

Then her eyes snapped to the black eyes with glowing purple irises. 

"But I don't have to fight in order to send you two to the netherworld!" Crystal said in a voice that was not her own. 

She thrusted out her hand and said "Earthbound Immortal Hydronica Sisca attack and send these two signers to the netherworld!!" 

Jack looked at me and he said "Do it Yusei."

I nodded and I said "In that case, I play my face down, Magic Cylinder! Which takes your Immortal's attack and sends it right at you."

"What?! No!!! This can't be possible!!" Crystal called out as the attack hit her and sent her flying. 

Her life points went to zero and we had won. Her earthbound had disappeared and so did her hydra. 

"Crystal!" Jack called as he ran to her. 

She laid on her side and her dark mark went away and so did her dark signer clothes. Her normal clothes returned and her signer mark returned. Akiza, Luna, Leo and everyone else rushed over and Akiza knelt down on the other side of Crystal.

"I know what must be done." She said.

Jack looked at her and said "How?"

"Misty told me right before I finished the duel. A soul can be saved from the darkness. One of pure light must hold that soul of darkness in their hands and make the soul light again." She said.

"So someone has to hold what? Her soul?" Crow asked, clearly confused.

Akiza nodded and she looked at Jack and said "Hold out your hand Jack."

He looked at her and then at Crystal and held out his hands. A ball of black light came from Crystal's chest and floated into Jack's hands. His mark glowed and the ball of black light glowed and turned into a ball of pure white light.

It then floated out of his hand and back into Crystal's body.  

She moved a bit and then opened her eyes. She blinked and she looked around and her eyes rested on Jack.

Tears of happiness went down her face as she lunged and hugged Jack close. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him. 

"Thank you. For saving me." She whispered. 

"I'd do anything for you Crystal." Jack said softly.

It was all a happy moment when the ground rumbled and Crystal's body began to glow. It was the same glow that she had appeared from when Roman gave her to us as a "gift". Crystal looked at herself in confusion and looked at us with fear. 

The same fear that she had when she first came. 

Then with a bright flash of light, we all had to shield our eyes, and when the light was gone, we uncovered our eyes. 

And Crystal was gone.
