Chapter 11

Romen's Pov

"It seems that our plan is going quite well." I said.

"Indeed. If things go as they are, her soul will fall to the darkness. And she will be ours." Devack said.

I grinned and Misty said "What if we could speed up the process?"

I looked at her and frowned. 

"And what do you suggest that would be?" I said.

"Why don't you use one of your spiders and posses some human and make him duel the girl." 

She paused and said "And make the duel so she isn't able to win. Then her soul will be up for us to grab and turn her into a Dark Signer."

Hmm. That does sound like a good idea. I however, have a better plan. And it includes her plan as well.

"I like your idea, but instead we will led her to that physic Arcadia Movement and let them have fun with her then we will let her brother know of what the Movement did after we go through with your plan, Misty." I said.

I looked at Kalin and I said "And you and Misty will be in charge of telling the other signers."

Kalin grinned and he said "It would be my pleasure."

Misty smiled too and she said "And how do you suggest we get her to the Arcadia Movement?"

"I'll take care of that." I said.

It was all too simple. With letting the Arcadia movement have fun with her. And her brother isn't there for her, she'll hate him even more than she already does. Then she will lose her duel with a human that I'll posses and she will be vulnerable. Her spirit for the taking.

Then we will show off her spirit to her brother and the other signers. And then make her a Dark Signer. And with a powerful physic duelist on our side, we will bring an end to the signers, once and for all.

Jack's Pov

I stood there and watch her duel. It was like she was a whole other person. She was good and now that she is a signer I worry for her. Sooner or later she will have to duel a dark signer and I worry that she will lose. 

I am more afraid that she will become a dark signer if she gets defeated. 

I won't let that happen. I will not let them hurt her. 

 But she hates me so that will be hard. She thinks that I forgot her on purpose and don't care about her or what she went through. And the thing is I wanted to know what they did to my sister. But she is so upset with me she won't even talk to me.

"Hey." 

I spun around and I saw Crystal standing there with a frown, her eyes held no emotion. 

"Hi." I said. "I thought you were mad at me."

She shrugged and said "I am. But that doesn't mean I won't talk to you. Whether I like it or not, you are my brother."

I stood there and looked at her. She leaned against the building and looked out into the distance. My memories of her were small but this is not the Crystal I knew. The Crystal I knew always smiled and giggled and wanted to spend every minute with me.

This Crystal holds a frown on her face and her eyes shows no emotion. She doesn't giggle or laugh. And she barely spends any time with me. 

I guess spending all these years with the Dark Signers will do that to a person.

"Just so we are clear, I did miss you. I looked for you for years. I did try to find you. But they all told me that you were dead." I said.

She looked at me and said "And you believed them?"

"For a while I didn't. But soon their words sunk in and I believed them. I met Yusei and Crow and Kalin and......" I paused when I saw something in her eyes shift when I said Kalin's name.

"What?" I asked. "What is it?"

Her eyes turned back to their emotionless look and she looked away and she said "Nothing."

I frowned and she said "Continue."

I looked at her and I said "and we became The Enforcers and that is when Kalin got addicted to power and as he was being taken by Sector security, he saw Yusei being pat on the shoulder by an officer."

I paused and said "He thought Yusei had betrayed him. But at that time I didn't care about anything. So I betrayed my friends and went to the city and became the best duelist there was. Then I had a duel with Yusei and then this while Dark Signer thing happened."

I looked at her and I said "And then I saw you after chasing after one of them and I couldn't believe my eyes. I had thought you were dead and I was so happy to see you again."

She looked at me and said "You don't even know what happened? How I got token?"

"No. I don't." I said.

She smiled and I said "What?"

"We already have something in common." She said.

"And what is that?" I asked.

She looked at me and she said "We both don't know how I got into the hands of the Dark Signers."

I smiled and said "I guess that is one thing we have in common."

I walked up to her and I said "I do still want to know what they did to you all these years."

She looked at me and I saw the fear and pain but only for a second and then it was gone. She looked away and she said nothing.

Then after a minute she said "I can't."

"Can't what? Tell me?" I said.

She nodded and said "Please don't make me, Jack. I can't. It's too painful to remember and speak of."

"But Crystal--" I said.

"No!" She said and she ran off into the house and up the stairs into her room.

"Nice going." Yusei said as he came around the corner.

"Eavesdropping much?" I said.

He smiled and said "Sorry. Couldn't clear my head so I left for a walk and heard you guys talking and didn't want to interrupt."

I rolled my eyes and he said "She'll get there Jack. Sooner or later she will be ready to talk to you about what happened while she was with The Dark Signers. She just needs time."

I looked at him and I gave a nod and he walked into the house. I followed so we all could make a plan together about what we are going to do about the Dark Signers.
