Chapter 25

A short Jack's Pov

I've failed. 

I couldn't save Crystal. 

And now like Goodwin said, because of my careless mistakes, I'm going to pay for them. I'm going to lose my sister. Her pain is my fault and I'll never forgive myself. 

"Jack."

I blinked in surprise. 

It was Crystal's voice!!

It was speaking in my mind. She's using her physic abilities to talk to me.

"Jack, don't worry. I'm ok." 

I knew she was lying. With the damage Goodwin and Crow and I have taken, there's no way she's ok. With her being burned and shocked when we took damage. being shocked when Goodwin took damage, and being attacked by Goodwin's monster.

She isn't fine. She's in pain. 

"One monster cowering on his knee in defense mode? Oh poor Yusei, you disappoint me so." Goodwin said with a smile. 

Crystal's Pov

I did it. 

I contacted Jack.

Goodwin looked behind him and looked at me. 

"Still standing are we?" He said. "Maybe I should change that."

My eyes widened and then I glared at him. 

"Do what you want with me. I won't let you use my physic abilities." I snapped at him. 

He frowned and said "I'll teach you to disobey me."

He paused and said "I'll do that later, after I destroy Yusei and his pathetic friends."

Goodwin turned back around and he sacrificed his turn and his earthbound immortal attacked Yusei.

"Oh no!" Jack said.

"Yusei!!" Crow yelled.

"No!!" I cried. 

A tear slipped down my face. This was it. This was the end of the duel. Goodwin had won and I'd his slave. 

But wait. 

He's still riding! The duel's not over yet!

"Now the three of you have but three life points. If you're smart, you'll beg for mercy." Goodwin said with a laugh. "What are you waiting for? Start graveling."

"No chance." Yusei said.

I smiled and Goodwin looked at me and said "What are smiling about?"

"Oh nothing. Just the fact that Yusei is going to kick you butt into a new dimension." I replied.

"You fool!" He yelled and thrusted out his hand.

Which sent me flying into the wall and he held out a card that only Roman used on me once. He only used it once because it almost killed me when he used it. 

My eyes widened when the card glowed and Goodwin grinned. 

The purple flames appeared and the electric shock soon followed. And it didn't stop. That's why Roman only used this card once. It keeps burning (not really burning just causes pain) and shocking me until the card holder sees fit. 

Meaning Goodwin won't stop this until he wanted to. 

"Can't you see? I have the power now. Your life is in my control and this duel is over! The King of the Netherworld is almost here!!" He cried in triumph.

I wanted to cry out in pain but I fought against the pain and gritted my teeth against it. I dropped to my knees and fought against it. I was not about to let him win. I was not about to give him the satisfaction that he had "broken" me. Not a chance.

He looked at Yusei and Yusei said "I'm still planning on winning this thing."

"You just don't know when to give up." Goodwin said.

"You got that right." Yusei said.

Yusei finally summoned his Stardust Dragon and Goodwin said "That beast doesn't have enough attack points."

"Wrong. Like I said, this beast is like the bond we share." Yusei said.

"Wait. What do you mean?" Goodwin said a little panic in his voice.

"What's.....the......matter.....Goodwin?......Yusei too........ tough....... to beat.....you?" I struggled out to say.

"Be quiet!" He snapped and the pain intensified. 

I whimpered and let out a small cry. 

Yusei then played Crow's face down and sent it to the graveyard. Which gave Stardust Dragon a big power boost to 5000 attack points.

"What?!" Goodwin said.

Then Yusei used Stardust Dragon to attack Goodwin's Sun Dragon Inti. Which ended with Goodwin taking damage and me being electrocuted more but only for a moment then it died down a little.

Then my arm began to glow. 

What? 

I looked at through blurry vision I saw my Signer Mark return. 

But how?

Then it faded and I looked up and I saw that the head of the crimson dragon was with Yusei and the other went to Crow. And then all our marks went to Yusei and was on his back. Though my vision was fading in and out, and I was in so much pain. I still smiled. 

The pain I was feeling was too much. Roman would have stopped it by now. But then again, Goodwin isn't like Roman. 

"Oh no, I've lost." I heard Goodwin say before blacking out. 

Yusei and the others.

They were too late. 

I can't hold on anymore.

Yusei's Pov

After attacking the King of the Netherworld, I kinda blacked out. 

I woke in this galaxy dimension. I looked around and I saw Kalin, Misty and the other dark signers. 

But what was going on?

I looked forward and I saw the old Goodwin standing before me. 

"The bonds we share truly do matter. If you'll excuse me, my brother and I have some catching up to do." Goodwin said.

They began to walk away and I said "But wait! What happened to Crystal?!"

Roman looked back at me and he said "You will find out."

And then they were gone.

I woke to see I was in the air. 

"What's happening?" I questioned mostly to myself.

I watched as the temple disappeared. 

No!

Crystal was still in there!

And then the condor mark disappeared and Jack and Crow were falling! 

No!

Then Majestic Star Dragon swooped down and caught Jack and Crow and carried us off.

Jack's Pov

"I bet the others are worried. But I think they'll understand. Don't ya think?" Crow said. 

"Oh yeah." Yusei said.

But there was still one thing that was bugging me. I couldn't put my finger on it. We saved the world and all. So why in the world am I not relieved?

Wait a minute......

"Crystal!!!" I called out.
