Chapter 6

Rosanna

Wednesday

When I woke up this morning the phone call was still going. We stayed up super late last night talking on the phone, I guess we both fell asleep and neither one of us hung up.

We ended up talking about some of everything last night. Julian is a very easy person to talk to, there was never a dull moment in our conversation.

I hit snooze on my alarm and picked up the phone.

"Hello?" I could hear him snoring so I just hung up since he was sleep.

I got up and began to get ready for work. I wish I didn't have to work at the bank, I had bigger dreams but you gotta start somewhere.

I'm currently trying to save up for my shoe store. I love shoes! I went to college and majored in Business and I want to open a store but money doesn't grow on trees so I'm working hard to get where I want to be.

On my way out the door, I decided to send Julian a text.

Goodmorning 😘 -sent 7:46 A.M

Starting my car I realized I wouldn't have time to stop and get some breakfast. I sighed because I could tell today was going to be a long day.

Julian

I sat up as I heard Skai in her room crying. I picked my phone up off the pillow to see the time and saw a text frome Rosanna. I replied.

Goodmorning ❤️ have a good day at work beautiful -sent 9:34 A.M.

I headed into Skai's room and picked her up out of the crib. "Goodmorning mamas" I kissed her check.

"What you crying for? Your pamper needs to be changed?"

I laid her on the changing table and proceeded to change her pamper. After getting her cleaned up we headed downstairs. I put her in her high chair so I could get ready to feed her.

"Ight baby girl, what you want for breakfast? Some carrots sound good?" She just sat there chewing on her fingers.

I laughed cause I knew she didn't really like the carrot flavored baby food.

I picked up a jar of the Sweet Potato kind and sat down in front of Skai, I began to feed her when my phone dinged. I looked to see Rosanna had texted me back.

I didn't plan to call her last night but I really just wanted to talk to her. We talked about a lot last night and I felt like I knew her better. She was a real open minded person and I liked that about her.

I found out her favorite foods and color. We talked about our childhoods a little bit, and a lot more. She was real easy to talk to, I almost felt like I could tell her things without her judging me.

Sidenote: I personally don't like when people do a time skip in the middle of a chapter but I'm about to do it this one time. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Fast forward to Friday afternoon

Thank God it was finally time for me to get off. I get off early one day out of every week and that day is Friday!

Once I got in my car, I texted Julian back.

to Julian: Where are you taking me? 🙄 -sent 2:51 P.M.
