Rosanna

Tuesday

My lunch break is in 5 minutes and I'm supposed to meet Julian down the street at the Bistro. Standing in front of the mirror in my office, I made sure my hair was okay before I started to gather my things and leave.

Arriving at the Bistro, I didn't see Julian anywhere so I went ahead and got us a table.

I sat there for 20 minutes, waiting for him before I decided to text him.

to Julian 😍👅: Where are you? -sent 12:55 P.M

I have an hour lunch break, Thank God. Because 30 minutes it's not a long time. So I have to be back by 1:30 P.M. I flagged down the waiter so I could go ahead and order me some food. I don't know where Julian is but I at least want to eat before I go back to work.

After ordering my food, I checked my phone again to see if Julian had texted me. Which he didn't. To say i'm upset is a bit of an understatement because he was the one that offered to take me out for lunch. On top of that, he doesn't even have the decency to cancel or let me know he can't make it.

While waiting for my food, I took a few pictures on snapchat.

I thanked the waiter as he sat my food down in front of me. Beginning to eat, my phone vibrated on the table. I picked it up to see my dad calling.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ro. You at work?"

"I'm on my lunch break, why? wassup?"

"What time are we going to see that building tomorrow?"

"4 o'clock."

"Alright. I gotta go, I'll talk to you later."

"okay, bye."

Tomorrow, my dad & I were going to see the building for my store. I'm beyond excited because that means if I can sign the paperwork and get the building tomorrow, I'll be one step closer to my dreams.

"Rosanna, hey."

Breaking my thoughts, I looked up to see Tommy standing in front of me. I sighed because I definitely didn't feel like dealing with him but I put a smile on my face anyway just to be polite.

"Hey Tommy."

"You look beautiful. Do you mind if I join you?"

"Actually," I looked down at my watch seeing I had 10 minutes to get back to work. "I have to get back to work soon."

I tucked the receipt and $30 dollars under the plate to cover the bill and tip. I stood up & grabbed my purse about to head for the door.

"Well, that's fine. I'll just walk with you." Tommy smiled at me.

Damn, could this man not take a hit?

"That's really not necessary."

I saw the frown on his face when I said that as he held the door open for me.
