IsabelleOnce we were on the shore, we tried to dry our clothes by twisting the water out. Of course we weren't entirely dry because that won't be possible in a second even if it was as hot as Scar's temper outside.
"Uh. Great." He suddenly uttered.
"What?"
He scratched the back of his head as if he forgot something and just remembered it, "We don't have disguises. They'll know we're not Massites. They'll kill us immediately."
I slammed my own face with my hand, "You're right. Massites have dark hair and we have light colored hues."
It was something Siegfried told us about earlier. He told us a couple of things about Massah since no one has really seen a Massite before. Walled kingdom. Tch.
"Didn't you have anything?" He asked.
"No. This was a last minute resolve."
He leaned against a tree, "Well, what do we do now? We can't sneak in without disguises."
"Yeah."
I tried to look for solutions. I even thought of ripping out parts of my dress to cover or faces, but that won't do.
What if we put dirt on our faces?
Nah. We'd look crazy and unsanitary.
What if we just barge in by force?
Tch. No. Why did I even think that?!
After a few unrealistic and impossible possible strategies, I consulted Aspen, who was in deep thoughts as I am.
"Anything?"
He groaned, "No."- then he stopped for a while and looked to the right, and did a double take- "Why don't we use those things strangely hanging from the trees?"
"What?"
I followed the direction he's pointing at and there I saw 2 perfectly fine leather cloaks hanging on the trees.
I widened my eyes, "Well, that's just scarily peculiar."
"So this is what it feels like I were to be a character in a book. Everything you need is there." Aspen pointed out.
"Yeah. Life is fun if you're a book character. But we're not." I said as I made my way to grab one of the cloaks.
"I wish I could be in the next life." He muttered before taking the other cloak.
Once we're done, we made our way towards the edge of the city, which I don't where by the way, given I've never been here. But, being lucky, I know that Massah's city has walls around it. And we just need to find that-
"Now, that's a damn big wall."
And he was right. In the middle of my thoughts, actually in the middle of our search in the forest, finally stood a big brick wall.
But the question is...
"How do we climb it? Maybe we can-"
I wasn't even finished in my sentence when I saw Aspen hugging a tree like it was his dear life.
"Please not my back again." He almost squeaked.
I gave a 'tch' sound and laughed, "I'm not that merciless, your highness. Besides, your back won't suffice. The wall's too big and tall."
He gave a sigh of relief, letting go of the tree, "Oh, thank goodness."
I chuckled, "But really...how will we climb it? You can't go acrobat on this wall."
