Chapter 20

I am awaken by a knock at the door.
I open it and see the whole gang, except for Tobias. I begin to cry.
"I-I am sorry. I shouldn't have told anyone." Zeke says while hugging me.
"But why couldn't you tell us yourself. We have been best friends for a long time. We don't judge, we have Uriah for crying out loud." Lynn says. I begin to laugh and Uriah glares at Lynn.
"So can we meet her?" Marlene asks.
"Yea. She is probably awake anyways." I say. They come in.
I pick up Crystal and give her to Marlene.
"What's her full name?" she asks.
"Crystal Rose Eaton." I reply.
They stare at me shocked.
"What? Babies usually take the name on their dad right?" I say blushing like no tomorrow.
"Give her to me." Lynn says. They pass her around and Zeke is the last person with her. He is so much like Tobias. I can't help it, I run upstairs and begin to cry. I hear footsteps behind me. It's Zeke, Uriah, and Christina.
"Tris, it's ok." Zeke says.
"It's just that you're so much like Four. I don't think we are still a thing after what I did to him." I say.
"Don't beat yourself up. Its not your fault. I would not have even tried to come to school today. You tried, you're pretty damn brave. Anyone who tells you different is lying." Uriah says.
Christina hugs me.
"It's ok to be scared sometimes. If you are you're human." she says. I hug them.
"Thank you. You're like my own brothers and sister." I say. We walk back downstairs.
"Well we gotta go." Lynn says handing me Crystal.
"Bye."
I walk up the stairs and see Tobias in my room.
"What do you want?" I say
"To see my daughter. And my..."
"Your what?"
"I know I was acting like a jerk. With telling Zeke--"
"I asked you not to tell anyone."
"I-I know I was just angry."
"But you never answered my question. Your what?"
"Can I just hold her?" I give her to him.
He handles her with care.
"What's her full name?" he asks.
"Crystal Rose Eaton."
He looks at me shocked.
"What? She is your daughter too."
"My girlfriend."
"What?"
"You asked me 'Your what?' I am telling you to see my girlfriend."
"Who's that?"
"You."
"I thought you hated me."
"I couldn't hate you even if I tried. I can't live without you."
He comes closer and we are about to kiss.
"I...I think I need to put Crystal to sleep."
I take her from him and walk to her room. I sing to her another verse to the song:
"Deep in meadow
Far away
Beyond the willow
I beg papa to stay--" I am cut off.
"Here I am staying
No going away
Don't cry my family
I am going to stay." Tobias finishes.
"Together we protect you.
Our darling baby
Please go to sleep
No need to weep
We stay here together.
Day after the other.
Night after night.
Until the sun shines bright." We both sing together.
I put Crystal down.
"Together we'll stay." I sing.
"Forever and ever." He sings and slips a ring on my finger.
I look at it. Engraved on it is : FourTris.
I hug him and then I kiss him.
"I love you, Tris."
"I love you too."
"I love you three."
"I love you, Four."
He chuckles, and says, "Yea I know."
I laugh and we start to talk.
"Toby! Where's Trissy?" it's June's voice.
"Can they come over?" I ask excitedly.
"Yes. Girls she is in here." he says.
"We're coming!" May says.
The next thing I know, they are climbing through the window.
"Trissy!"
"May! June!" I say hugging them.
Then I hear Crystal start to cry.
"That's our baby. Don't tell daddy." Tobias says.
"We don't like daddy. We won't tell." They say.
I bring Crystal over to them.
"Can I told her?" May ask.
"Yea."
They make Crystal laugh. I feel Tobias wrap me in his arm. I relax against his chest.
