Chapter 52

Tris POV:
I wake up Monday morning at 7:30.
I text Christina.
GM wanna go to StarBucks?-T

I get out of bed, take a quick shower, and go to my closet.
I pick out a loose green short dress, put on my green high tops, and my sunglasses. I curl my hair in loose ringlets and put some lip gloss on.
I walk outside and jump in my car.
I drive to Christina and she is already out.
"Hey Baby Girl." She says.
"Hey Chrissy."
We drive to Starbuck's and get a table in the front.
"I swear to God they are following us." Christina
I look to see Tobias and Will.
We apply lip gloss and pull down our sunglasses and walk over to them.
"Hey." I say and take a seat across from Tobias.
"Lovely Ladies." Tobias says.
"Eh." I say and look at Christina.
She shrugs.
They look at us strangely.
"Christina let's get to school. I am suddenly not hungry anymore." Will says.
"Don't you dare." I say.
He grabs her and runs out.
I look at Tobias and flash him a sarcastic smile.
He looks into my eyes. His gorgeous blues eyes.
Wait Tris. What are you doing Tris!?! He broke your heart.
"I have to go." I say quickly getting up.
I run to my car and drive to school.
I see Luke and I jump on his back.
He starts running. I giggle.
"To Will!" I yell.
I see Will from a distance. I make Luke stop and I run after Will.
He sees me and he stars running. But I jump on his back making him fall.

"You planned it!" I yell.
"It didn't work!"
"You're gonna die!"
"Let me say goodbye to Christina."
"Say it now. You've got ten seconds."
I get off of him and he stands up.
"Well Chri--" He starts but then he starts running.
I chase him.
"Will!" I yell after him. Christina is right behind me.
Will stops next to Tobias and they start looking our way.
"Christina start running." I whisper.
Then the boys start running.
"Run! Now!" I yell and she grabs my arm.
We run all the way to the gym and it's empty.
I run to the girl locker rooms but couples are kissing.
So we run to the boys locker room.
Luckily it's empty. So we hide behind the lockers.
"Where do you think they went?" Tobias asks.
"I don't know." Will answers.
"We need to change our shirts."
They take off the shirts, I am staring at Tobias.
"So let's go to our lockers." Tobias says
"Good thing it's in the back." Will replies.
I look at Christina. Her eyes widen.
We stand there frozen.
A hand grab Christina. It's Will's hand.
Then Tobias stands in front of me.
Six freaking inches.
I lean in, he closes his eyes, and I slip under him and run away.
I run to my first period class and see Marcus. I walk out.
I run into Eric, Luke, and Tobias.
"Oh my God." I say.
They all look at each other.
Just in time Christina grabs my arm and starts talking.
"Fo--" She stops and sees the boys.
She pulls out her phone and starts texting me.

I put my phone away and blush.
The bell rings and I walk through the door pulling Christina's arm.
"Class. I don't care what you do. Just do whatever you want." Marcus says.
I look at Christina.
"Yep!" She says.
"Ugh. I don't know what the boys see in me."
"I do. You are gorgeous, smart, brave, and so selfless. And you are pretty dang strong."
Eric, Tobias, and Luke walk up to me.
"Will you go to the dance with me?" They all say in unison and then glare at each other.
I stare at them in shock.
"He broke your heart." Luke says pointing at Tobias.
"I'm the new boy." Eric says.
"I'm gonna break both of your faces." Tobias says.
They start fighting.
"Stop." I say.
They continue fighting.
"Alright stop."
They are still fighting.
"STOP!"
They stop and look at me. I have tears falling down my face.
"I am not a trophy! I am a human being! You know what!? I will just go to the dance alone!" I shout.
I walk out of the classroom and sit near the lockers.
"Tris." It's Zeke.
"Zeke? How did you--"
"I heard you yell."
"Oh. Sorry."
"What happened?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Aww ok but I want a hug."
I give him a hug and walk to the art room.
The room is empty. I start singing Carry On by Fun.

I sit down and Christina runs in.

I am on Christina's back and we are on our way to the mall. Lynn is beside us.
We are going to girlify her.
We walk into the dress store and separate.
I find a strapless pink dress that has a place for my right leg to show with a gold bow. I try it on.
And legit all eyes are in me.
"Beautiful!" Christina yells.
I hear a few whistles.
I blush and walk back in the dressing room and change.
I find some gold heels and buy them.
Lynn has a light pink short dress with beige heels.
Christina has a light green dress that is knee length and white heels.
We go to the food court.
"Tris Prior?" the manager calls.
Why are they calling me?
"Yes."
"We have a request for you to sing."
"Oh no."
"Please?"
"God no."
"PLEASE!?" Everyone in the cafeteria yells.
"Fine."
I walk up on the stage along and sing Catch Me by Demi Lovato.

I smile and everyone starts clapping. I walk away from the stage and go sit down.
The girls and I leave and walk to my house.
"Maybe we can get together the day of the dance and get ready together." I say.
"Yeah and then we can make Lynn a girly for Peter." Christina says.
Lynn sighs and we giggle.
"You guys want to stop a the Dauntless Diner. I am starving." I say.
They nod.
When we walk in the only booth available is the booth next to a boy with her back turned.
We sit down and then I notice the boy is Tobias.
"Hi what would you like today?" a waitress asks us.
"Can I have a small steak, dauntless cake, and a milkshake please?" I ask.
She nods.
"Can I have a burger?" Lynn says.
"Me too." Christina says.
"I will be back with your food."

"Ugh. I have no date." I say.
"I feel bad for you." Christina says.
"No feel bad for him." Lynn says pointing at Tobias.
I stare at him and turns to look at me but I quickly look away.
They come back with our food and we begin to eat.
