Tris POV:
"I am sorry. You can see her right now if you want. Both of you." The doctor says.
I nod and follow him.
We walk into the room and my breakdown is almost to hard to keep. But I keep it.
The doctor leaves the room and I start crying again.
I walk over to her. I caress her hand.
"Please wake up. Please. I love you." I whisper.
"Please wake up Crystal. Please." Tobias whisper.
She doesn't move her breaths are steady.
I run outside the room and sit outside the door. And sob.
Tobias comes outside with tears on his face. Ashton walks over and comforts me.
"It's gonna be okay. It'll be alright." He says.
-------
Tris POV: 2 months laterI feel Crystal hands squirm as I hold it. I look at her face. Her eyes are open.
I lift her up and kiss her forehead.
"She's up." I yell as they run in.
Tobias and I are really good friends now. We hug our baby.
I smile.
-------PB-------
Ashton is carrying me to my house because I was too lazy to walk to it with my own to feet.
I laugh as he kisses my neck, tickling it slightly.
He unlocks my front door and sets me down on the couch.
He kneels down next to me.
"Tris, I'm going on tour." He says quietly.
"What?!"
"I'm going on--"
"I HEARD YOU THE FIRST THE FIRST TIME!"
"Look, Tris. I didn't want to tell you because I just couldn't." He says.
"Oh." I say.
"I'm sorry."
I remove the pillow from my face.
"It's okay. When you leaving?" I ask him.
"Tonight." He says.
"Oh."
We sit there in an awkward silence. I get up.
"Well you don't want to be late? So you should get going." I say.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?"
"Yea."
"Well see you again Tris." He says and kisses my cheek.
It's summer and I have nothing but time.
-----------
I hear a knock at the door and I open it.
Tobias is holding take-out. I smile and let him in.
He sits on one end of the couch and I sit on the other end.
"We need to do something with the whole family. I mean like, Me, You, Anna, and Bubbles." I say.
"Yea. Maybe we should have a picnic. And..."
Something comes to mind. When Tobias was little he wore glasses in fourth grade.
"Hey Tobias, whatever happened to your glasses?" I ask him.
"I wear contacts."
"How come you never told me?"
"Because I was embarrassed."
"Please show me your glasses."
"Nah Tris."
I put on my best puppy dog face.
"Oh Tris. You know that won't work." He says.
"Then why aren't you looking?"
"Ergh. Fine. I'll be right back."
He runs out my house and then runs in again with a pair of glasses.
I clap my hands excitedly.
He takes off his contact lenses and put on the glasses.
I smile.
"You look so cute." I say pinching his cheeks.
"Tris."
"What? It's true."
His glasses slide down a bit but I push them upward.
"That's what you did at the lake in sixth grade." He says smiling.
"Oh yea. When we first...kissed." I say returning the smile.
His teeth are so white. His smile is just...
No! Tris don't fall him again he is gonna....gonna....make me kiss him.
I resist the urge to.
"So when do you wanna have the picnic?" He asks.
"Saturday. But I have to go get Crystal and Anna. I need to give Kelly a break."
"I'll see you later."
"Yea. Bye."
"Bye."
When he walks out I go outside and walk to Kelly's.
