Chapter 54

Four POV:

"Wait so she is my girlfriend?" I ask Zeke and Uriah.

"Yes. Why are you asking? We just explained it to you." Uriah says

"Because she is just so...so...." I trail off.

"Gorgeous." Uriah says.

"Yea and I'm...just..."

"You?"

I glare at him. He put his hands up in mock surrender.

"Hey man. You were thinking it too."

I smile because I was.

"I still don't believe it." I say.

Shauna walks in and hugs me. Then Zeke lets out a frustrated sigh. Shauna walks over to him and hugs him and whispers something in his ear.

"Dude, its ok. The doctor said this might happen. He is just in denial." Uriah says.

The doctor walks in.

"Mr. Eaton. You may leave tonight but here are painkillers for your head." He says.

I jump up and wince because my body hurts. I put two painkillers in my mouth and chug the water.

The painkillers helped so much. I walk out with my friends. Justin didn't want to leave May and June.

I walk out and we are headed to Zeke's house.

When we get there we just play video games and stuff like that.

Zeke and Uriah are like my brothers.

But I just can't shake the feeling that Tris is really hurt.

And I am the reason.

My friend seem to feel her pain.

I want to know everything that happened. 

My friends are her friends so that makes me her friend.

I just want to know everything.

"Why was I in the hospital?" I blurt out.

"Your father beat you senseless and you lost some of your memory." Uriah says.

"Who found me?" 

"Tris." Zeke says.

"Tell me what happened Zeke."

Then he gets a call and he put it on speaker.

"Zeke! You guys need to get to the hospital. Tris. NOW!" Christina yells.

We all get up and run to the car.

When we get to the hospital, we go to the man in the front. 

"We are here for Tris Prior." Zeke says.

He gives us passes and we walk to her room.

We see Christina and Lynn crying.

"What happened?!" Zeke asks shouting.

"She was crying and then she went to sleep. She was screaming in her sleep. And I woke her up. She was burning up like she had a bad fever. I took her temperature and she did have a bad fever. I called the ambulance and then she just passed out." Christina says.

Will and Peter are here calming them down. Marlene is hugging Uriah. And Shauna is sitting next to her sister.

Zeke is just sitting far away and I am just standing there. I don't know what to feel.

It's been 6 hours and Zeke is still away from the group. I walk over to him and his face is turned the other way.

"Tell me what happened." I say.

"She told me she heard you guys scream. Christina, Lynn, and Tris ran over there. It was right after you guys got back together."

He face is still turned.

"We got back together?"

"Yes. Now do you want me to finish?"

"Sorry. Continue."

"She called me and told me to come to your house. When we got there she was crying and May was in her lap. We came to the hospital and she waited for you."

"Why?"

"Because!" He almost shouts. He calms himself. "Because she loves you."
