Chapter 23

Tris POV:
"What are you doing with my baby?!" I shout.
She looks startled and then recovers.
"You took him away from me. How could he date such a small shapeless girl like you? You have nothing. You look like a 12 year old. You're hideous." She laughs.
"Just give me my daughter."
"He's lying to you. If he wanted one girl, he would've kept one girl."
"What do you mean?"
"He slept with me when you were MIA."
I am fighting back tears now.
"T-that's not true." Tobias says his voice cracking.
"Zeke? Uriah?" I ask them.
I look at them, but they look away.
I look Tobias in the eyes my he is avoiding mine.
All our friends are shocked.
"Give me my daughter and keep Four. I was dumb to think he would love me anyways." I say.
"Good choice. Here." She says handing me a crying Crystal.
"Bubbles, it's ok. Mommy's got you."
I pause, and tears run down my face.
"Now you can have Four." I say with my voice cracking. Then I start to run. All my friends are following me.
"Wait Tris!" Tobias yells.
But I continue running with tears streaming down.
I reach home and put Bubbles in her crib. Then Zeke and Uriah are the first people at my house.
"You knew about this and you didn't tell me. YOU KNEW AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!" I shout.
"He didn't want us to tell anybody."
"Oh! But it's alright to tell everyone that I am pregnant!?"
"We're sorry alright."
I sob.
"Every time I let someone in, they break me down."
Then the rest of the gang is here and I am crying uncontrollably.
The gang is downstairs but I can hear their conversation.
"Tris has never cried like that before. She must be really heartbroken." Uriah says.
"It's my fault I really should've told her." Zeke says.
"Don't blame yourself." Will says.
I get a text from Luke and Tobias.
I am sorry-4
The next one from Luke says:

"Christina can you stay here with me tonight?" I ask her.
"Yes, are you ok?"
"No." I begin to cry again.
She wraps her arms around me.
"How could he?" I ask.
Then there is a knock at the door, I open it and see Tobias.
"To-Four what do you want?" I ask him.
"I am sorry Tris I should've told you."
"But you didn't."
"I know but I've always loved you."
Then Bubbles begins to cry
"I gotta go Four."

I wake up the next morning at 7:00 and Christina is ready.
"Good morning. How you feeling Baby Girl?" she asks me.
I hug her.
"Ok. But I am coming to school today." I say. I go take a shower quickly.
I put on my blue top, my white jeans, my blue sweater, and my blue studded flat. I put on my lip gloss, and leave my down.
Kelly is here.
"Hey Kel." I say.
"Hey Tris. Hey Chris." she says. We giggle.
I jump into my Ferrari with Christina.
We pull up into the school yard.
"Hey guys." I say as I walk out my car, but then I see Four. I rush to class with Christina.

"Ugh why can't I face him?" I question.
"Because he broke your heart."
"Why am I crying?"
"It's ok to cry."
The Bell rings.

The rest of the day is fast.
I change into my cheer uniform.
"Captain show the team the new routine." Rochelle says.
"Ok. Christina play Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz." I say. I do the routine and end with a jump split. The girls are gaping at me.
"That was amazing!" They shout. In the corner of my eye I see Four staring at me. He knows that song was meant for him.
"Ok so let's add some flare." I say.
"So we are gonna do a pyramid at the end. Who's the lightest person here?" I ask.
"You." I hear. Then we giggle.
"Let's get started." Chrissy yells.
We go over the routine and it is a success. Then we leave.

"Christina are you coming with me?" I ask.
"No not today."
"Ok bye."
"See ya tomorrow."

I walk out to my car and see Tobias standing there waiting for me.
He looks at the promise ring he gave me.
"Four." I say.
"Tris, I am sorry."
"Whatever Four."
I look down. He lifts up my chin and tries to kiss me.
"No! You want to win me over like you do with every slut in this school." I almost shout.
"I love you Tris."
Then Lauren walks out.
"Hey Babe." She says and kisses Four.
My heart breaks in four pieces. I start to walk away.
He pushes her off. He grabs my wrist.
"You know what Four! Just leave me alone. What did I do to you? I love you!
Yes, that's right! I love you!" I shout in his face.
Tears are running down my face.
I yank my hand from his grasp, get into my car and drive home.
"Hey Tris, are you ok?" Kelly asks me.
"Yea I am fine thanks for watching Bubbles."
"No problem." With that she walks out.

I pick up Bubbles and walk upstairs, then I put her to sleep. I go outside to take a walk. There are tears running down my face.

"Why can't I stop crying!?" I yell.
I sit with my head in my knees.
"I love you. I am nothing without you." I hear Tobias say.
"Please forgive me. I am crushed. I broke your heart. Forgive me please."
I look up and then he looks away with tears in his eyes.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you more."
"I love you most."
"Impossible."
"Forever."
"And always."
I kiss him.
I hear crying and then we run back to the house. I pick up Bubbles and we walk back outside.
"When is her birthday?" Tobias ask me.
"October 31. She is 3 months old."
"We should get back to the house."
"Yea. Can you stay the night?"
"Why?"
"I love you please. I want you to stay."
He wraps his arms around me and kisses my head.
"I will stay."
