Chapter 3: The Chosen

Twila's POV

"Teka, Queen Alisha bakit nga ba your highness ang tawag mo saakin? Ganyan ba kayo sa mga napili niyong tao?" Nagtataka kong tanong. I hadn't had the chance to ask earlier because I was in a hurry.

"'Cause you're my princess. Just call me Alisha, your highness. Come now, you still need to go to your dorm." Sabi ni Alisha at pinasakay na ako. Wow, sanaol naman princess, pinagsasabi neto. Disney Princess siguro, oo.

"Adik ka ba, Alisha?" Naibungat ko sakanya, tumawa naman ito. "Oo nga pala, Alisha 'di mo sinabi saakin na ang famous mo ha, pa-fansign naman!" I said loving the feeling of the breeze brushing off my skin.

"Teka, sino ang naka sakay sa queen?"

"'Di ko pa siya nakita dito."

"Famewhore."

Sari-saring reaksyon na naman. Bakit ba big deal sa kanila 'to? Sabagay, queen of alicorns and unicorns nga e, bobita.

Alisha landed gracefully in front of the Girls' Dormitory and helped me search for my dorm number, which was located on the first floor, lucky me!

"Thank you so much, Alisha, I couldn't have made it this far without you. Sige na, pwede ka nang gumala." She nodded and walked away, her presence still commanding respect.

I inserted the key into the lock, only to find the door open. Sino kaya mga dormmates ko? Mababait kaya sila? Medyo worried ako kasi baka mga 'mean girls' sila. Mabait pa naman ako, hindi ko kaya mag-sungit-- echos!

As I opened the door, two girls greeted me. Honestly, they were stunning! One had jet-black hair that danced in the air, while the other had vibrant red locks that seemed to glow.

"Hi, new dormmate! I'm Ally Farkson, and this is Freysha Splashlin," the red-haired girl said, smiling and gesturing toward the girl with black hair. "So, what's your name?" Ally asked, her voice filled with enthusiasm. 

"I'm Twila Adriana Ynn Ford, pero just call me by my first name. Nice to meet you." I answered with the same energy she had. Ngayong ko lang din napansin na ang laki pala nang kwarto dito! Parang isang bahay, bes! There were three beds, and I assume the one at the back was mine, wala kasing mga gamit.

Umupo ako sa bed ko--- hoy! What kind of foam is this? It was incredibly soft! Ally and Freysha moved closer and sat on the bed across from me, looking at me with interest.

"What kind of magic or ability do you have?" Freysha asked, her brow furrowing slightly in curiosity.

"I'm not sure, but I don't think I have one," I said, uncertain. They both frowned as they listened. "Honestly, I didn't believe in any of this until I saw the alicorn. It was hard not to believe." Totoo, sa alicorn lang ako nakapaniwala talaga. I mean yung building pwede kasing may string siguro? Tapos kahit na ulit-ulitin pa ni tita yung 'magic' di talaga ako maniniwala sa kanya. So the alicorns and unicorns were the last straw in making me believe everything. I mean, who wouldn't, I got to experience flying, which is something impossible without modern technologies.

"Paanong wala kang ability? Nakikita mo ang school? Normal kang tao?" Ally asked, her eyes wide with disbelief. Anong meron ng nakikita ko ang school? Eh sa malamang, may mata ako. "Pwede pala yun?"

"I guess?" Patanong kong sabi. "Dinala lang naman ako ng tita ko dito eh." Paliwanag ko.

"O....kay?" Freysha said in a doubting tone. "Siguro hindi pa nag manifest dahil nasa mundo ng tao ka. You wouldn't see the school kasi if you were a mortal." I nodded agreeing to her theory, siguro nga meron, I just don't know yet.
