Chapter 14: Responsibility

Twila's POV

I woke up feeling utterly drained. My whole body ached as if I'd been sparring with gods--- ay oo nga pala, come to think of it, I literally did.

 I'm currently near the barrier of Xterya Forest. This part of Xterya Forest is secluded, far from the academy, and it's perfect for my transformation. Everything happened in a blur. At 8 p.m., my powers came surging inside me. Muntikan na nga mahiwa katawan ko- like literally. Luh manananggal lang? Jokes aside, the force overwhelmed my body, and I fainted. Then somehow, my soul got transported to Hexean Paradise.

I received a lot of abilities and it really doesn't feel real kasi normally, a person could only have two to four abilities, and mine surpassed that. I have elemental abilities, tapos isali mo pa yung light ability. Then there's this ability to stop time and see the future like through prophecies. And all my senses are enhanced, including my sixth sense. My intuition mixed with my ability to see the future made it possible for me to read minds. I mean it all makes sense since it's the light ability, the one responsible for the creation, pero like isn't that too overpowered? Para akong nasa isang pelikula. To think all of these powers combined wouldn't be enough for me to defeat the enemy...

But there's a downside to everything. That's why my mother always told me to take training seriously. I have a really big weakness, a disadvantage that could ruin everything. Sa dami ng powers within me, one wrong move and I could burst into oblivion. Too many powers collided within my weak, fragile body, and there's only too little for me to handle. I need to master and control everything in a short time, or I won't make it- my body won't take it and it will be the end of it all.

My mother figured I'd be having a hard time taming all these rampaging abilities, so she brought my soul to help me train. She trained me all the basics and laid down the foundations I'd need. Her lessons were intense- almost brutal! She insisted they were merely the basics—the simplest concepts anyone could grasp. But for me, it was anything but easy. And it took me longer than usual because I was weak and had low stamina. Controlling my powers was a hardcore challenge with this weak body of mine. I barely managed to control it nga, e. I wanted to stay a little longer, but my body was out cold for 3 days, and I needed to take care of my physical body. Alisha has also been taking care of me while I fainted, but she's currently busy with Alicorn duties sabi ni mom, dagdag reasons for me to wake up. 

I also need to work on my physical capabilities, although I trained in Hexean Paradise for months, iba pa rin ang training when it comes to my physical body. Although I trained for months in Hexean Paradise, iba pa rin ang training when it comes to my actual body. The training transition from my soul to my body needs proper focus and more specialized training, especially since I trained in such an unusual way--- sa Hexean Paradise? I also can't train ulit sa Hexean Paradise, because it's a paradise for the dead, not for the living. 

Although sinusumpa ko ang mga araw ng training sa Hexean, it wasn't all too bad, my training there was really fun I tell you. I trained under gods and goddesses whose names I'd only read about in books. Each ability had a mentor, fire, water--- you name it. But the training was rough because I didn't have that much time, sa dami ba naman ng dapat kong matutunan. 

For months, it felt like hell--- I mean Naexeh. It was like walking on those floating stairs a thousand times over. It got to the point where I asked my mother for a cheat code, maybe a hidden clue or weakness in defeating the enemy, but of course, she scolded me, saying it would disrupt the world's balance . So I had no choice but to really try my hardest. 

'With great power comes great responsibility, Twila.' I never asked for any of this, bakit nagkaroon pa ako ng ganitong responsibilidad. If only I was normal, I was ordinary, na nonood lang sana ako ng Kdrama ngayon. I heaved a deep sigh and got up.
