~Niall's POV~
As quietly as I could, I climbed the stairs with Kyle's tiny body over my back.
It's just before midnight right now, because we were just watching match of the day together. It's nice having a little guy around to do all the lad stuff with. I used to be able to do it all with Gregg, but now he's in his own house with his own little family.
I carefully spread Kyle on Greg's old bed and covered him in a duvet, turning on the lamp next to his bed just incase he wakes up during the middle of the night and gets scared.
Making sure to shut the door on my way out, I tiptoed across the hall to my room, but stopped when I heard a faint crying coming from the guest room.
Sunny.
I ran to the door and flung it open.
"Noooo." She screamed. I flicked the lights on and ran to her, almost falling over the shoes I left there earlier that evening.
"Sunny." I called out.
As I got to her, I saw that her face was bright red and dripping with sweat. Her duvet was on the floor and her arms flew back and hit the wall. Her chest was rapidly rising up and down. Her leg twitching every other second.
I climbed onto the bed and leant over her. Shaking her shoulders, I called out her name. "Sunny, wake up." I begged.
"Mum!" She screamed.
"Sunny, she's fine, wake up." I pleaded, shaking her shoulders more.
Relief ran over me as she fluttered her eyes open.
"Sunny." I whispered, pulling her up by her arms, and wrapping my arms around her damp body.
"Niall?" She asked, while catching her breath again.
"Yes babe?"
"What happened?" She asked.
"I don't know sweetheart. I think you must have had a nightmare." I informed her.
"It, it was mum, mum and Skye and you drove me to the airport and I went to find them and when I got there the plane was taking off and you stopped me from chasing after it and when I turned around the plane crashed and was on fire and mum died and Skye died and-"
I cut her off by saying "don't worry darling, they're fine, it was only a dream."
I was so tempted to kiss her, but, I didn't.
She sighed and planted her head in the crook of my neck.
I rubbed small circles on her back, to try and relax her.
After a couple of minutes, her breathing returned to a normal rate.
"Are you ok now?" I asked, and after I didn't get an answer I figured she was asleep. I scooted back on my bum and gently laid her back down. As I did, her eyes fluttered open, showing her brown eyes. I weakly smiled at her and walked towards the door. I saw her eyes look worried, as she thought I was leaving.
"Don't worry, I'm just turning off the light." I told her.
I saw relief wash over her face as I said it and went back over to the bed.
I lay next to her so there wasn't any space between us and wrapping my arms around her.
I could feel all the tension escaping her tiny body and felt her relax.
"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me, but bare this in mind it was, meant to be." I gently sang into her ear, feeling goosebumps erupt in her skin. "And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks, cause it all makes sense to me. I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile you've never loved, your stomach or your thighs. The dimples in your back, at the bottom of your spine, but I'll love them endlessly." I sang to her, and from the corner of my eye, I could see a curve on her mouth, a smile fighting to tug on her lips.
