Momma said she would come to me, but it had been four years and I felt nothing for any of the she-wolves I'd seen. My mother was the Moon Goddess and she paired each individual werewolf with another and she knew exactly how they would come to meet. The only thing she couldn't do is tell someone who there Mate was, where they were, or how they would meet. She basically couldn't talk about it at all and that really hurt me because I had been searching for my Mate endlessly since receiving the Alpha King title and even before that. I knew that she desperatly wanted to tell me, but she couldn't and I understood that. That didn't stop me from getting frustrated and at the fifth year I did what I thought I wouldn't do.

I gave up.

I thought that the reason I didn't have my Mate with me was because I didn't have one in the first place. It was then that I decided that I would move on with life and giving up was a mistake because, little by little, I became cold and unfeeling. I admit that it was wrong, but at the time I was set in my ways and I almost lost my Mate a few times. I regret everything I did and every terrible decision I made. We've grown since then and I'm glad that I am who I am...
