A bit of a funny and cute chapter😂

Lucian

At around 12:00 a.m I felt Fae get up and go to the bathroom. It was normal for her to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, so I didn't get up. I eventually fell asleep again, hugging her pillow close to me. I did wake up when I heard her scream. I immediately jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom, ripping the door of its hinges to her in a puddle of water. "Fae?!"

"I-I think it's time." Her face was twisted in pain and I knew exactly what to do. I would be the hero of this story that we would tell our little one! Because I am SUPER DAD!

Wait.

I was about to be a Dad....

"Fae..."

"What?"

"I'm about to be a Dad."

"Yeah and I'm about to be a Mom, so if you'll excuse me, because you're being no help, I need to go push out a kid." She walked right past me and picked up her phone, walking out. What was I doing? I raced to catch up with her and held her hand as we speed walked through the pack. I mind linked Julian that Fae was in labor and he said that everything would be ready for her and our pup.

"Just keep breathing, love, deep breaths."

"I kinda have to breathe to live, dear."

"Right." Wow, I felt stupid. We raced through the pack hospital and into the labor room quickly, Julian waiting for us.

"Alpha, Luna, nice to see you," he bowed.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Just get it out, please. I've been having contractions all night!"

All night?! "And you never told me?!"

"Oh, quit your whining, you don't have to do any of this!" Her demanding tone went straight through me and I tensed. Dammit!

"That was hot," I growled, kissing her. Luckily, that distracted her from the pain for a little while and I was able to help her change into the hospital gown.

"I have to see if she's ready, Alpha," Julian said. While I didn't like the idea of him being in between my Mate's legs it had to be done. I nodded slightly and tried not to look.

"Well?" I asked impatiently.

"You're ready, Luna Fae!"

"I've been ready for five months," she teased.

"I'm going to give you to three and you give me a big push, okay?" She nodded and reached for me. "One!"

"Please hold my hand," she whispered.

"Two!"

I gripped her hand and kissed her cheek. "You got this, baby."

"Three!"

"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!" Her screams echoed through the room and I couldn't say how long this went on, but Fae was getting visibly tired and our pup was not out. I started sweating and my worry was out of control.

"Come on, Luna, just a few more; I see a head!"

"A head?" She asked in wonder.

"You can do it, Fae." She let out another ear piercing scream and I could tell she was pushing with all her might. Her muscles flexed and she squeezed my hand. It hurt, but I took the pain, knowing it could never compare to what she was feeling right now.

"I got it! I got it!" Julian shouted. All of the sudden tears streamed down his face and I felt a new bond, but this bond was different. When pups are first born, the connection is weak, but this one was different. "IT'S A BOY!"

"A boy?" I asked. I looked at Fae who smiled at me and tilted her head back onto the pillow, relaxing.

"Your future alpha, Luna," Julian said, handing over our perfect baby boy to her.

"Oh, my baby," she whispered, reaching out for him. I finally got a good look at him and I guarantee I was beaming from ear to ear. He looked just like me! She brushed her fingertips across his delicate cheek and he opened his big, golden eyes. He looked at his mother in awe as she smiled down at him. "Hello," she giggled. "What about a name?" She asked, looking up at me.

"Samuel, but Sam for short."

"I like that," she smiled. "Little Samuel." She kissed his tiny forehead and ran her fingers through his dark locks. "Here," she said to me, lifting up our son. "Hold your heir, Lucian." I looked at her and smiled, taking my boy from her arms. "Mind his head," she reminded me. I took extra care in protecting his head as I held him close to my chest. His wide eyes looked up at me in wonder and his mouth opened up.

"Hey, buddy. You know who I am? I'm your father."

Flashback//:

"Mommy, should I make the sails green or blue?" My mother chuckled and kissed my hair, sitting down with me.

"What have we got here?"

"It's me, teaching my son how to sail," I told her, beaming proudly.

"Oh, really?"

"And this is my Mate, watching us."

"Very nice, dear."

"So should the sails be green or blue?"

"Mmm. Green."

"Ok."

End Of Flashback//:

I didn't realize I was crying until Fae's hand started rubbing my back. "This is everything I've ever wanted," I said, giving him back to her. "You've given it to me, Fae. You've given me the perfect life." I captured her lips in mine, cradling her face. "Thank you," I whispered. "Thank you so much."
