WARNING//: Chapter starts out unpleasantly, but it gets better.

Fae

They were all around me, their hands gripping and groping every inch of my body. They pulled my hair and fondled my breasts, licking my neck and touching the inside of my thighs. I just wanted them to stop! They whispered foul words into my ears and cried out in their climax. I thought they were done, I thought it was over...until I scented Rex and I knew it was far from over. He gripped my hair in his hands and smacked my face, causing a whimper to escape my lips.

"Fae! Fae, wake up!"

I jumped out of my dream, screaming. I felt around for my mate and found his hands. "Lucian?!"

"It's me, baby, it's me; you're safe." My breathing slowed and I held onto him like he was my lifeline. "It was just a dream," he whispered.

Tears poured down my cheeks and onto his muscled chest. "It wasn't a dream; it was real."

"It will be alright, my darling, we should probably get up now anyway. I'll let you shower first." He moved to get off the bed, but I grabbed his arm.

"Join me?" He kissed my forehead and carried me to the bathroom, taking my mind off of the horrid memory. H massaged my back and shampooed my hair with tender hands and later on, loved me deeply until the sun rose. I had the most wonderful Mate on the entire planet. When we finished, he dried me off and helped me change clothes, kissing my forehead.

"How about we pay the pack pups a visit, hm?" He always knew how to make me feel better. Playing with the pups always lifted my spirits, but I couldn't ignore the thought of having one that was my own. Could I have a pup with Lucian? Maybe one day. Now? Eh, no. I did want to be with Lucian and mating with him is always incredible, but a pup? Not right now.

I nodded and smiled at his request from earlier. "I knew that would cheer you up. How about so,e breakfast firth, though? Waffles okay?"

"Sounds great," I yawned. I could tell he was still worried about me, but I'm glad he didn't push me. Rex was awful. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, wishing I could see my Mate just one more time.

"He said you were up here," a voice said from the doorway; I knew instantly who it was.

"Goon morning, Moon Goddess."

I could almost feel her rolling her eyes at my comment. "Mom will do just fine actually."

"You keep giving me these dreams. Why?"

"Just as how you are having these dreams for a purpose, you are also blind for a purpose. I cannot tell you what it is, but just know that there is one. War is coming, Fae, and you will have to fight for your pack just as Lucian will. You are not weak; you have never been and when the time comes, you will see just how strong you really are, my child."

"Will people die?"

"That, my dear, is up to you. Vincent is here if you would like to meet him."

I turned and walked towards her white light. "I would, actually. Lucian never speaks of him."

"They are not on the best terms at the moment."

"I see. Maybe that will change today."

"I recon it might," she chuckled.

Lucian

It was hard for me to leave her after what happened this morning, but I had to work. She assured me that she would be alright and that she was just going to be around the house or in the garden. Every now and then I would peek out the window that had a perfect view of the garden to watch her. She was so beautiful.

I turned from my computer to the window again and smiled. She had gotten a water pail and was watering all the flowers. How she did it, I have no idea; maybe scent. She was still a mystery to me. My phone rang, making me turn away to answer it.

"Alpha King here."

"Your Majesty, it's Alpha Riley."

"Hey, how you doing? How's your mate, Alexandra?"

"We're both very well, thank you, it has been a little rough, but we're back on our feet."

"Fae and I both offer our condolences."

"Thank you, but the reason why I called is more joyous."

"Do tell."

"Alex is pregnant again."

"You are back on your feet, aren't you?" We both chuckled.

"Yes, but unfortunately her best friend is also pregnant."

"Ooo, yikes."

"Yeah they got into a fight the other day about ice cream and Alex almost killed her."

"Oh, man."

"How is your mate? Barefoot and pregnant yet?"

"Oh, no, we aren't ready for that yet."

"Too bad."

"I guess. I just want to take it slow for her."

"When are you having the Luna Ball?"

"I have no idea."

"Well, when you do then let us know, we would love to meet our Luna Queen."

"I will."

"See you later."

"Later."

I hung up and smiled; I was happy for Alpha Riley and Luna Alexandra. They had been through so much together with the baby and I was glad she was pregnant again. They deserved a healthy heir. I said a quick prayer for them and packed up my papers; I was done for the day. I looked through the window to the garden and panicked when Fae was no longer there. Oh, no. I raced out of my office and to our room, but she wasn't there.
