The ending to this book is almost here and that also means the end of the "One" Series, but never fear, my beauties, I have many more wonderful works in store for you!💕

Lucian

I sat in front of my crying Mate with a mix of emotions about the situation. She was a total of four months pregnant and she was getting bigger, as every pregnant woman should, but there was one problem with that. Her clothes stayed the same size when she did not. She had insisted on wearing her favorite purple tank-top today, but it wouldn't fit over her stomach and it barely fit over her growing chest too. So here she sat, on our bed, with the tank-top half on, crying her eyes out because it wouldn't fit. I had to admit that the predicament was comedic, but I hated seeing her cry.

"Maybe you should try something else on, baby."

She sniffled and lifted the top over her head and looked at it in her lap. "But this is my favorite top!"

"Honey, it doesn't fit."

"Are you calling me fat?!" She asked, suddenly furious.

"Baby, no, that's ridiculous! You're pregnant with my pup and you couldn't be more beautiful to me."

Her eyes started watering and she crawled into my arms. "Oh, Lucian. I'm sorry I'm being so difficult, my emotions are everywhere."

"I don't blame you for anything, Fae. How about we find a different top, yeah?"

She nodded. "Yeah."

~<***>~

"Hey, sister!"

"Hey, Noelle," Fae smiled, hugging my over ecstatic sister.

"Look at you! You're so beautiful! Hopefully this pup gets your genes, of ya know what I mean?" The two woman giggled while I just rolled my eyes.

"I'm right here, Noelle."

"That you are, my dear brother, but I don't care. I do, however, care about your baby momma!" She squealed, patting Fae's tummy.

"Did you have five cups of coffee or something?" I asked her, clearly annoyed.

"I can't have caffeine right now," she replied in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Thank God," I teased.

"Wait," Fae interjected. "Why can't you have caffeine?"

"Well, it makes for a healthier pup," she shrugged.

Wait a second... "Are you saying you're pregnant?"

"Well, duh," she said, rolling her eyes.

"How were we supposed to know?!"

"Lucian, you need to stop talking," she sighed.

"He does have a point," Fae defended me.

"Thank you, baby," I smiled, kissing her cheek. I placed my hand on her stomach and felt a small push on my palm.

"Did you feel that?" She gasped. "The baby kicked!" I smiled and kissed her lips, keeping my hand in the same spot to feel another bump. It was amazing!

"You guys are so cute!" Noelle gushed.

"Why are you even here?" I asked through my teeth.

"Can't a sister come see her brother without being questioned?"

"Not if that sister is you."

"Come on, Lucian."

"What are you hiding, Noelle?"

"Well, Bryon and I may have gotten into a little argument," she shrugged. (A/N//: I can't remember if I mentioned her Mate's name, but his name is Bryon now if I already have😂)

"Uh-no-go back home."

"Whyyyyyy?" She whined.

"I'm not keeping you because you don't wanna talk to your Mate about something that was probably your fault."

"A$$hole," she muttered.

"You know it's the truth. Go home."

"Can't I just-"

"No."

"But what if-"

"No."

"Ugh!! Lucian!"

"No."

"You suck!"

"Tough. Go home if you don't like it."

"Fine! But not because you told me to!"

"Whatever," I shrugged, walking away.

"How do you even live with him?" Noelle asked Fae as she walked out the door.

I sat down on the couch and took in a deep breath. Every time my sister came over I tensed up. We didn't really have a good sibling relationship growing up, mainly because she can be a total b*tch, but Fae is helping us both out. "You shouldn't be like that to your sister, honey," her soft voice said to me. I shrugged and closed my eyes with my hands behind my head. "Lucian?" I raised my eyebrows, not saying a word. "Lucian."

"Hm?"

"I thought you two were working on that."

"It's whatever." She sighed and I heard her walk away to the stairs. I really needed to be left alone right now anyway. I couldn't help but wonder what Noelle and Bryon were fighting about, though. Bryon is a really nice guy and he spoils Noelle by letting her have her way all the time, so it must be something big for him to stand his ground and not give in or compromise.

I jolted up when I heard screaming, but not just any screaming. It was Fae screaming. My heart immediately tightened and I rushed upstairs to her, breaking down the door to our room where she was. I was crouched and ready to kill whoever had caused my Mate harm, but all I saw was Fae and Serena. "What the hell was that?!" I asked.

"Look how beautiful it is! Isn't it so wonderful?!" Fae squealed, gesturing to the canvas that Serena held in her hands. I turned my attention to the painting and was immediately blown away. What the-this was the best painting I'd ever seen!

"Serena, it's..I don't have any words to describe it. It's wonderful, thank you."

"Only the best for you two," she smiled, hugging Fae. "I hope you like it."

"We love it," Fae gushed. "It's absolutely perfect."

It was perfect....

Just like my Mate.
