Little bit of a short chapter

Three Months Later...

Lucian

"Everything looks good. The baby's healthy and so is the Luna. I assume you know of the unique situation we have on our hands, Luna Fae?"

"Yes, Julian, thank you."

I was more on edge then ever. Fae should've given birth by now, but.... "How long will it take, do you think?" I asked.

"Honestly, Alpha, I have no idea. The pup will take longer than a normal werewolf because it is a different Alpha seed;maybe even longer then a human baby. It all depends on the nutrients the pup is being given and how much of it the pup gets."

"Is there a point in time where we can say that something is wrong because it's taking too long?"

"Again, I have no idea."

I sigh in frustration and run my fingers through my hair. Fae put her hand on my arm and patted in a soothing way. I kissed her forehead and looked at her small belly. This pup was taking a long time and despite what Julian said, I was worried that it would take too long and Fae's vision four months ago was not easing my mind.

We stood and thanked Julian as he bowed, leaving towards the pack house. We walked hand in hand and I knew she could feel my distress, but she didn't ask about it the whole time we walked. As soon as we opened the door to the house, she rushed in and sat on the couch, sighing. "Would you like anything, love?" I asked her.

"A glass of milk, pack of Oreos, and a jar of peanut butter would be great," she said, rubbing her tummy.

I smiled and kissed her cheek, resting my hand on her's. "Okay. Comin' right up." I smoothed down her hair and went to the pantry for the things she wanted. She's been eating lot of Oreos and peanut butter lately, so I had the pantry restocked every week. No one complained about it and nobody touched them. Ever. I got out a spoon for the peanut butter and filled a glass of milk. Balancing the items my princess asked for, I went into the living room where she was. "Here you go, baby," I said, kissing her. She smiled and kissed me back in appreciation. I opened the peanut butter and Oreos for her and fed them to her one by one. A spoon full of peanut butter over an Oreo and then a sip of milk. I did it over and over until there were no more Oreos left and the milk had been all drank up.

"Thank you," she smiled, rubbing her hand on my chest. "We were starving," she chuckled.

"You're welcome, babies." I threw away the Oreo and peanut butter packages and rinsed out the glass. I made my way back to the living room, but quickly ran there when I heard Fae sniffling. Within an instant, I was kneeling by her side with my hand on her tummy in concern. "Are you alright? Is it the baby? Should I call Julian?"

"No," she sniffled, a tear falling down her cheek. "I'm just so lucky to have you. You take such good care of me and I just wish your parents were here to see their first grand baby."

That struck a chord in my heart, hearing her say that. She loved my parents and they loved her too. "Honey, they're watching right now. They can see and I know that they're both so proud of us."

"You think so?"

"I know so, Fae," I kissed her forehead and hopped on the couch, holding her close. She would be an excellent mother to our pups.
