Chapter Seven

Lucian

I couldn't believe she actually fell for it and didn't question anything! I shook my head and walked up the stairs, going to my bedroom. It hurt that Fae didn't want to share a room with me, but I suppose I could handle it until she was completely comforted with me. I rubbed my eyes and turned the door knob, expecting to see an empty room, but that was NOT what I saw.

"Fae?"

She tucked a piece of clothing inside one of the drawers and turned to me. "I hope you don't mind that I moved a few of your items aside...there wasn't a lot of room for my things."

"No, it's alright, I'm not fussy about that kind of stuff."

"Good," she nodded, "I took a shower earlier so it's free for you now."

"Oh, uh, thanks." I went to grab underwear from the drawer she was at, my hand brushing her's slightly. Her lips lifted into a small smile and I wanted to kiss her so badly, but I turned and walked towards the bathroom. I shut the door and stripped down to take a shower.

Skipping the shower part

I walked out of the bathroom with only a towel around my waist; she couldn't see me anyway. I looked around for her, sniffing the air and following it to the closet. I opened the door and saw her sitting on one of the cushions, feeling the materials and getting familiar with their scent.

"Hey," I greeted, walking towards her.

She looked in my direction. "Hello."

"Getting familiar with everything?"

"Yes."

I smiled and kissed her cheek. "Dinner will be ready in a bit; I'll let you finish up here and come get you after."

"Okay; sounds good." I chuckled and walked out of the closet, but came back when she called my name. "Yes, baby?"

"Can you ask Noelle to come here for me?"

"Uh...yeah okay."

I went down stairs, mind-linking Noelle that Fae wanted to see her in our room. Why would she need to see Noelle? What was going on? Did she not feel comfortable asking me anything? Was she not happy with the new clothes I bought her(with Noelle's help, of course, because I apparently have "no style")? I brushed off the thought and went into my office that I had been neglecting. I sighed at the many rouge reports and warriors that were needed throughout every part of the territories. I put on my reading glasses and went to work, feeling my muscles tense already.

Fae

"Hellooooooooooooo," Noelle's voice echoed throughout the room.

"In here," I called out.

"What are you doing in the closet?"

"I need your help."

"Clearly," she chuckled.

"Haha, very funny," I said, sarcastically.

"I know right, but seriously what is it?"

"Well...I need your help picking out a few things."

"Ooooo, YAY!"

"Noelle?"

"Yeah?"

"I need something appealing..."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I intend to mate with Lucian tonight...."

"WHAT?!"

"Shhh!"

"Sorry. You're finally ready?"

"I think so."

She squealed. "Oh, this is so exciting."

"Yeah."

"Don't you worry, sister, I'll make you look irresistible! Lucian won't be able to keep his hands off of you at dinner tonight." Oh, no. What have I done? I think I've unleashed some sort of monster! She helped me up from the floor, talking faster than I've ever heard! I didn't know what exactly she was saying so I just went along with it. I don't have a clue how long she was "glamming me up" for, but it was way too long. By the time she was done we had ten minutes to spare. "Lucian is probably still in his office. Now is the perfect time for you to showcase your goods!"

"Please tell me that I don't look fake," I whined.

"You look like you, but dressed up. I took your style into consideration, you know."

"Okay, thank you."

"Do you need me to lead you there?"

"Yes, please." She did as I requested, put my hand to the door of his office, and left.
