Baylor
I couldn't believe I finally found my sister! Yes, a part of me was relieved, but also a part of me wish I hadn't have found her. This meant that they got their way...again just like always. I had done their dirty work, but I had never expected this. How long could I keep this up? I can't do this forever. When our pack was attacked and We couldn't find Fae, Tanya and I were terrified. We had searched everywhere for her with no sign...and that's when I had to get their help. How was I going to get out of this?
I can't and I never will.
I stopped in my tracks when the most intoxicating smell hit me. Lemon cake and...raspberry. I rushed toward the heavenly scent to an open part of the woods. When I got there I saw a woman sitting in the grass with a sketchbook, drawing the bird that stood in front of her. She had dark brown hair and looked to be fairly slim. Her hands were tiny and working furiously to finish before the bird went away. When she finished up the last of the drawing, she lifted her head to sniff the air.
"You're here," she said. Oh, her voice was so angelic. She stood and turned, almost knocking me to the ground with her beauty. Her green eyes bore into my soul and it was like she knew everything about me; all my flaws and all my secrets. Cute freckles dotted her little nose and flecked out onto her cheeks, giving her such an innocent look. She tucked her pencils and book into a tan, leather satchel and approached me. "I've been waiting for you...I thought you'd never come."
"Here I am," I said, placing my hand on her cheek and feeling the undeniable Mate bond. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, opening them again.
"Serena."
"Baylor." I had barely gotten my name out before she lunged at me, kissing me feverishly. Serena. This was my Mate.
Wait.
My Mate.
I had met my Mate......
This changes everything.
Lucian
"How long has it been?" Fae asked, worried as she paced the living room.
"Three minutes, love."
"Why isn't he back yet?"
"Maybe he's still searching. Darling, sit. It's only been a few hours."
"A few hours?! He's been gone all day!"
"Fae, you need to calm down and eat some dinner."
"No! I will not eat! As a matter of fact, no one will eat until my brother returns!" She was using her Luna Tone. She was serious. All of the sudden, the front door burst open and in walked Baylor with messy hair, stuck with leaves and dirt, accompanied by a young she wolf, appearance the same. Their scents were mixed together...they were mates. "Baylor!"
"Hey, sis."
"Where were yo-" she sniffed the air. "You smell like dirt an-you've mated."
"Uh, yeah. This is my Mate, Serena."
"Oh, Serena, thank the Goddess it's you!" Fae exclaimed, wrapping her arms around her brother's Mate.
"Thank you, Luna."
"Now, both of you get cleaned up for dinner."
"Yes, Luna," Serena bowed and left with Baylor. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her cheek.
"See? Nothing to worry about."
"Yeah, yeah," she smacked my arm playfully and turned. "So you were right this one time."
"One time?" I teased, laying my hands on her sides.
"Yes, one time," she teased.
"I've been right more than just one time."
"Have not."
"Have to!"
"Nope."
I brought her closer to me and kissed her Mark, making her moan. "I'll show you how right I can be."
"Luc."
"After dinner." I smirk and walked away like a total boss.
"You little-"
"Language!"
Thank you all so much! You loves are so amazing!
