Luke: You and Luke were really getting on well, only a few weeks ago did you two decide to make it “official” and everything had gone smoothly since. Although he had met your friends, you had never really met his, that was until you overheard him on the phone talking about an evening out that he was arranging. You convinced him to let you go with him (after alot of protesting from his side) and you were just on your way there.

“I’m so excited” you said, smiling at Luke as you entered the restaurant. He half smiled at you before taking your coat.

“Just remember what I said, OK?”

"Don’t take anything they say personally" You mimic, Luke reminding you every minute on the way to the restaurant. He merely shoots you a look and you roll your eyes playfully.

He grabs your hand as you follow the waiter to the back of the restaurant, where you see a small group of boys and two girls sitting with them.

“Luke!” One of them cheers, throwing his hands in the air. The others around him grin as they see their friend enter.

“Hey” Luke says simply, his hand squeezing yours. You had no idea why he was so worried, but you were thankful for it.

“You must be Y/N” One of his friends say and you nod, smiling at him. “Luke didn’t do you justice” He whistled, making you slightly uncomfortable. You looked up at Luke, who was avoiding your gaze. You were about to ask what he meant by that, but the waiter was already ready to serve you.

“So, Y/N, Luke says your studying [Idk whatever you want to/are studying]?” One of the girls ask you.

“Yeah” You say, smiling at the waiter as he places your plate infront of you. You hear a manly groan.

“I hate that subject” He whines, and you give him a questioning look. “I don’t know, everyone who takes it is stuck up” You are quite taken back by his comment, not really sure how you can reply.

Dinner goes by slowly, it seems as if you really should have listened to Luke’s advice, his friends were dropping snarky comments towards you all night. Luke sat there next to you, never uttering a word of defence towards them.

As you leave, you are both silent. He tries to lace your fingers together but you pull out of his grasp, flicking your hair over your shoulder.

“Y/N” He sighs, stopping in the middle of the street. “Don’t so this”

“Don’t do what?” You retorted, spinning around to face him. He sighs again.

“This” He motions towards you “I told you what they were like” You stared at him. He had a point, but does he think that’s why you’re angry?

“Luke I don’t care about your friends!” You spit, suprising him.
