Luke; “Here I am on the phone again and awkward silence is on the other end. I used to know the sound of a smile in your voice, but right now all I feel is the pain of the fighting starting up again.”

The phone was quiet, no sound being made by anyone. Luke tugged at his hair, yours and his breath the only noise being made. The laughter of the other boys died down once they heard yelling coming from Luke. You didn’t even know what the argument was about anymore, probably something stupid. You let out a deep sigh, the awkwardness becoming too much for you, the tears still flowing down your face. “(Y/n),” Luke whispered, his voice cracking. It pained him to know you were hurting. He once knew the sound of your smile just by your voice, but now, even when you’re not speaking, he could hear the breaking. “I’m so sorry babe.” he whispered, wiping at his eyes. “No. Save it Luke,” you mumbled, trying to regain your composure. “No baby please, I’m sorry, the argument was stupid. I’m so sorry, please just… I’m sorry…” he sobbed. Your heart broke in two listening to him cry, you wanted to comfort him. “I’ll talk to you when you come home from tour. Bye Luke.” you whispered, hanging up.

Calum; “So here we are again, the same old argument. Now I’m wondering if things will ever change, yeah. When will you laugh again, laugh like you did back when we’d make noise til 3 am and the neighbours would complain.”

You glared at your boyfriend, Calum, your breathing ragged. “Don’t come near me!” you yelled when Calum took a step towards you. “Just stop! You’re being stupid and pathetic!” he shouted, clenching his fists. “I have every right to be mad at you Calum!” you screamed. He took another step towards you and another; he placed his hands on your hips. You started thrashing, hitting his chest, trying to get him away from you. “Just stop (y/n)!” he yelled, grabbing your wrists tightly so you couldn’t hit him anymore. You burst into tears, sinking to the floor. Calum crouched down next to you, pulling you to him as you cried into his chest. “Will things change back?” he mumbled, closing his eyes as he pressed his lips to the top of your head.

Michael; “Some say that time changes, best friends can become strangers. But I don’t want that, no not for you, if you just stay with me we could make it through.”

You and Michael were best friends; you had been best friends for a while, before they started becoming really big. You actually met when he accidently walked into you, you made a sassy comment and then you both burst out laughing. He was everything to you, you joked about a lot, you argued, and you sometimes acted like a couple. But overtime you developed a crush on him; the whole falling in love with your best friend was too cliché but it happened and you hated it. Since you fell in love with him, you spent less and less time with him, never answering his calls, or his texts and soon he gave up. You stayed at home moping around, trying to get over him. You woke up one day and walked downstairs, you were about to walk into the living room when there was a knock on your door. You opened it and saw Michael staring at you. “So you’re okay then?” he asked, his eyes never leaving yours. “Why wouldn’t I be?” you asked. “Because you haven’t been answering my texts or calls.” he replied simply. You just shrugged, looking away from him. “What did I do?” he whispered. “Nothing.” you mumbled. “(Y/n) you’re my best friend! People say that times changes and best friends become strangers, but I don’t want that to happen to us! I want us to stay best friends, not strangers!” he said, making you look at him. You glared at him. “And I don’t want us to stay best friends!” you yelled. “What do you mean?” he asked, staring at you.

Ashton; “Don’t say a word I know you feel the same, just give me a sign, say anything, say anything. Please don’t walk away I know you wanna stay, if you just give me a sign, say anything, say anything.”

You sat at home, scrolling through your twitter when something caught your eye. You read through the article about you and Ashton and about how your relationship was falling apart. And it was falling apart, but you reading it made you realise how much it was. You wiped your eyes as you stood up, locking your phone. You walked downstairs and saw Ashton walk through the front door; he looked at you and let out a sigh as he shook his head. “You saw the article?” he asked. You slowly nodded, biting your bottom lip. Ashton shrugged, looking at you. “So… what are we going to do?” he asked hesitantly. “There’s only one thing we can do Ash. They weren’t exactly lying were they? We are falling apart; we never see each other anymore and when we do we argue constantly, you’re off touring and I’m in college. This isn’t working Ash, we can’t lie anymore.” you whispered. “Don’t. Please don’t say that. We both feel the same about each other, yes we argue but that’s what people do when they love each other as much as we do. Just please (y/n) don’t, please don’t do this. Don’t waste the last two incredible years.” Ashton begged, looking at you. You stayed looking at him, your heart breaking as tears fell freely from your eyes.
