"You look like crap."

"Thanks, Ben. I really appreciate it." I said through a yawn.

"I'm sorry, but you look like death." Ben went on. I glared at him, and I slammed my locker shut. I started to walk down the hallway, and Ben caught up. "Geez, sorry! Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning."

That would be true if I had actually went to sleep; I tossed and turned all night long. Axel's eyes were haunting my dreams. His words kept echoing through my head: "Haven't you ever thought about being bad?"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to snap. I didn't sleep well last night." I stopped and placed a hand on Ben's arm.

"It's okay, Becca." He smiled down at me. He then wrapped me in a hug. He was soft and warm and Ben.

"Thanks." I mumbled against his chest.

"Any time." He pulled back slightly and looked at my face.

"You're the best, Ben. I'm really glad you're my best friend." I smiled at him.

He let go of my arms, and he looked down at the ground for a second. "Me too, Becca. Me too."

I was about to tell him we should start heading towards history class when someone interrupted me.

  "Hey, pipsqueak." Tyler called.

"Hey, Tyler." Tyler was approaching me and Ben. He had his arm slung around his girlfriend's shoulders. "Hi, Danny."

  "Hey, Rebecca."

  "What's up?" I asked Tyler.

"Just wanted to say hey to my baby sister. Also, you seemed upset this morning." His blue eyes shone with protectiveness.

"I'm fine, Tyler. I promise." I tried to reassure him.

"Are you sure? You look like crap." He deadpanned.

"Ughhhh!" I started to speed walk away from them.

This is all stupid Axel's fault with his stupid cute face!

"Is she on her period?" I heard Ben ask down the hall.

"I heard that!" I yelled over my shoulder.

Thankfully me and Ben made it through the door to history before the bell rang. I took my seat and put my backpack on the back of my chair. Ben slid into the seat next to mine on the right.

"Becca. Rebecca, please don't be mad. I was only kidding... mostly." I glared at him halfheartedly. "Talk to me. Please?"

I turned my attention to the chalkboard in front of the classroom.

"Pleeeeeeeeaaaaase?!!!" He pleaded, tugging on my arm.

"Okay, okay! Get off you, lovable dork!" I laughed.

"There's the famous Becca smile I've been waiting all morning for." He smiled so big his dimple appeared again. I rolled my eyes and snorted at him.

I was trying to focus on getting ahead on our assignment today when Axel walked in. He walked over to Sam, the quiet red headed boy who sat in the desk next to me on my left.

"Beat it." Axel demanded, pointing behind him.

Sam's eyes went huge, and he scrabbled out of the seat at the speed of light. Axel watched Sam with amusement and then sat down. Just what I needed, more of Axel West (cue eye roll)!

"Hey, Angel Eyes. Miss me?" He smirked.

  "What are you doing, Axel?"
