Ash's POV:

Breathe in. Breathe out.
I could feel the cold wind on my face. My eyes closed and my hands gripping on the steering wheel. I knew what I had to do. I had to win. And that's what I intend to do.
Breathe in. Breathe out.

"Racers on your mark!" The flag girl yelled.

She raised up the flag. She then looked at all of the competitors. I heard cheering and whistling. She then looked at me and nodded.

"Go!" She said dropping the flag.

And with that I was off. Speeding my way to the other side. My opponent right on my tail. I had to go faster. I uncovered my secret weapon. But I knew I had to wait for the right time.

My opponent passed me and that's when I pressed it

My opponent passed me and that's when I pressed it. It sent me flying. Then and there I felt free. Like I could do anything.

I was almost to the finish line. But waiting there were cars with red and blue lights. The police,of course. I slowly drove my way there. I got out my car and made my way to the police cars.

"Hello Mr. Simons," I greeted the old man.

"Hello Ashlyn. Did you win again?" He asked.

"Yes but I know you really don't care. So I'll just be on my way." I then turned to make my way to my car.

Next thing I knew I was in handcuffs and I was pressed against the car. And I knew what was coming next.

****

"What were you thinking Ashlyn? This is the fifth time this month! Mr.Simons isn't going to let you go anymore."

If you're wondering who's the one yelling at me it's my asshole of a father. The man that I hate the most.

"That's it. I'm taking away your car." He took the keys away from my hand. I just looked at him feeling my blood boil.

"You can't be serious. That's technically taking away my freedom!" I yelled. He just looked at me with no expression on his face.

I let out a dry laugh."You're a piece of work. You know that? A piece of work," I said shaking my head.

"I can't keep up with you. You're just to dangerous to be around. I'm afraid of waking up without a hand," he said.

"I'm your daughter! You're not supposed to be afraid of me!" I yelled.

"The daughter I never wanted. I wanted a son but I got stuck with you!" He said with a harsh tone.

His words didn't hurt me. Nothing hurts me. But he did get me mad.

"Go to hell," I spat.

"Don't you speak to me like that young lady! Treat me with respect!" He yelled.
