Song: Saw You In A Dream
Artist: The Japanese HouseDylan's POV:
"Yeah, just let me know when you're headed that way."
"Yeah, she knows you're going."
"Alright, I'll see you there."
I hung up and placed my phone down. I zipped up my bag and put it over my shoulder. I turned around to the sound of footsteps.
"Was that Ryan?" Ash asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, he said he was almost ready."
"So who's the lucky girl this year?" She smirked.
"Some new girl," I shrugged.
"Hmmm."
"Yep."
I turned around and made sure I had everything. Once I was sure I turned back around and made my way out. I helped Ash carry her stuff to the car and once we were done we went back inside.
"So what do you want for breakfast?" I asked.
"No, I'm cooking!" She protested.
"No, I'm cooking. I don't want the house to burn down," I joked.
"Dylan, sit down. I'm cooking."
With that she moved me away from the stove and turned it on. I shook my head and took a seat at the island.
I watched as she made the batter for waffles. She had her hair in a bun with strings of hair coming out of random places. Her beautiful blue eyes sparkling. The way her lips were pressed together from her concentrating. Wait. What am I doing?!
I shook my head and looked away. I began to look around the kitchen to distract me from my thoughts.
"You okay?" I heard her asked. I looked back at her and nodded.
"...yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked, feeling a little flustered.
"Your cheeks are a little pink," she frowned.
"Really?! It's probably from the heat of the stove," I said, followed with a nervous laugh.
What the fuck is wrong with you?! Get a hold of yourself! You can't start this up again. I have to keep it under control.
"If you say so," she smiled.
She turned back around and opened the cabinet and took out two plates. She turned back around with two plates filled with eggs, bacon, and two waffles.
She placed them on the counter and took out the butter and syrup. She handed me a fork and a knife.
"Orange or apple?" She asked.
"Orange please."
She nodded. She served me a glass of orange juice and she served herself a glass of apple juice. With that we both began to eat our food.
Once we finished I picked up the plates and washed the dishes. Once we both brushed our teeth we made our way to the car.
Ash's POV:
"I saw you in a dream
You had stayed the same
You were beckoning me
Said that I had changed
Tried to keep my eyes closed
I want you so bad
Then I awoke and it was so sad.""Haven't talked to you in months
And I thought that I might cry
But I'm not that kind of girl."We sang along to the music and moved a little to the beat. Dylan made weird faces and so did I. The emotions that I felt yesterday were gone. Which is great.
