Chapter 74- Forgive him

Grayson's POV:

I sat down at the table and waited for my mum to start eating. Once she did I began to eat. And that's all we did for the past ten minutes. We didn't talk or even look up at each other. I knew she was mad at me over something. She does this when she's mad.

"So I heard you and Ash aren't talking to each other anymore," she said.

I stopped what I was doing and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath and looked up at her. She had a very serious face.

"Mhm," I said while taking a sip of water.

"Don't you "mhm" me! You really slept with that one girl who I always see with different guys everyday?! After all that time you talked about Ash and brought her here?!"

"I don't see how it's any of your business!"

"It is my business! For one you are my son who I raised to have respect for women! Do not forget that I am head master of the academy you go to meaning all this sex isn't allowed. I know everyone does it but for me to actually hear that you had sex with that....that whore."

"You're acting like it's the first time I slept with her!"

"It's the first time I've heard about it!" She shot up.

"Well it probably won't be the last!"

"You know you're just like you're father!"

That's when my stomach dropped. I looked at her and saw the anger in her eyes. The disappointment. And it just made me angry.

"Don't you dare compare me to him!"

"You're so disrespectful and treat women like trash! You treat them as objects! You could've had a nice girl but you went ahead and fucked it up by sleeping with the school whore! Yeah Ash has issues but she has her reasons. That girl you slept with is just there for attention. All she did was steal something from a high class neighborhood and she was sent here. You  can't even imagine what Ash's record looks like. Out of everyone in that whole academy I think she really has problems. Her medical records are....well I have no words to describe it. That girl has gone through so much. So much. And you just threw away her trust like nothing."

"Why do you care so much?!"

"Because that's exactly what your father did Grayson!"

"What?"

My mum let out a long sigh. She sat down and looked at me.

"Your father was the high school quarterback that all the girls fancied. Including me. And me being the person that I was I wanted him to be mine. After a while I caught his attention and we met up a couple of times and I swore he was the one....until I realized that he was sleeping around with everyone else.....but I still didn't care. And one day a girl showed up that didn't give your dad the slightest bit of attention. And that's the girl he wanted. He stopped talking to me and everyone else and gave his full attention to that girl. I was so mad. But I knew that once they had a fight I was going to be there....and I was. They had a really big fight and your dad came to my house and I didn't think twice about letting him in. A few weeks later I found out I was pregnant with you and I told him in front of that girl and she left him....and ever since that day we've had problems. With all that anger and sadness he would hit me and cheat on me and try to drink all of it away."

I stood there....lost for words. All that shit she had to go through. All those beatings she had to take.

"I know I messed up. And I regret what I did. And the people that knew what happened told me that I should've closed that door in his face. And I would always say the same thing to them. If I was smart enough to close that door...I wouldn't have you. It doesn't matter how many times you mess up or do something wrong. You're my son and I'll always love you. Which is why I'm telling you all of this. Don't settle for someone that doesn't make you happy. I know you messed things up with Ash but there are so many girls out there. You still have the rest of your life to find her Grayson. Stop sleeping with that girl before you get her pregnant."
