Ch.9: Change in the atmos-fear

As the group walked around the city Jax looked at the badge he had gotten while they were on the ship wondering how he didn't recognize him before. Asura pulled on Jax’s pants leg. Jax looked and noticed a flyer for a tag battle tournament. They quickly rushed over to the pokemon center to register. Jax got his number for the tournament and nurse Joy explained that each round he would have a new partner. This would test his trust in his partner as well as his adaptability in a tough situation. Jax ran out for the pokemon center just north of town to a stadium. Once he ran in he noticed it was filled to he brim with trainers and their pokemon. Asura was immeasurably excited for the chance to battle so many pokemon. Jax began to look around look around to see if anyone he knew was in the tournament. Just when he gave up someone covered his eyes. He turned to see Tammy and Ariados. They said they decided to enter knowing that Asura would want to enter it. As they finished catching up the announcer began to show the numbers for the first round. Jax was teamed up with a girl named Selena and Tammy was teamed up with Randi. Jax put Asura in her PokeBall and ran off to meet his partner leaving Tammy to find Randi on her own. Soon after everyone found their partner the matches were put up and had Jax and Selena against some people named Hajee and Saiyo. They were in the first battle of the day. The first match would take place one hour from that moment. This allowed each team to coordinate strategies with one another. Selena began to hit on Jax as he asked her what pokemon she used. Selena told Jax she used Rockruff, Shedinja, Ninjask, Vaporeon, Bagon, and Gengar. She didn't get the chance to ask Jax what pokemon he used as the announcer appeared on a nearby TV screen saying that partners would be sharing rooms based on who ever had the lower number of each pair. Jax remembered that Selena's number was lower than his. Jax grew worried of what Asura might do to Selena. As they went towards Selena's room Jax only grew more worried. As she opened the door Jax noticed that it was filled with stuffed animals. Jax tried to run but Asura comes out of her PokeBall fully rested and taking a good long look at he room. Asura stretched her paw  as if to shake Selena's hand but as Selena grabbed the outstretched paw she was sent flying by a force palm. Before she could say anything the announcer called them in for their first battle. As they all reach the battlefield the two opponents sent out torterra and  monferno so Selena sent out Ninjask and Jax reluctantly sent out Blake knowing what might happen​. As the battle began monferno jumped on the torterra's back and torterra used earthquake. Blake would be the only Blake would be the only one effected so Blake jumped and used dragon rage to hit the monferno off of the large Pokemons back. Ninjask began to attack the torterra with back to back fury cutters. Blake continuous used dragon rage. Soon enough the monferno fainted leaving just torterra. Jax noticed that Ninjask bad fainted as well. Leaving Jax and Hajee to battle one on one. Jax was about to tell Blake to use flamethrower but it was to late Blake had gone berserk and used flamethrower at point blank range then turned it into a fire fang. This caused the large Pokemon to faint ending the battle. Jax quickly put Blake back into his PokeBall before it destroyed the stadium. The rest of the battles went normally until Tammy and Randi battled and utterly destroyed the opposing pokemon as well as the battlefield. The announcer said that the next pairs would be shown the next morning. Jax began to fear what might happen if he couldn't help Blake control that rage he had.
