As the group made their way up to the top of mt. pyre Kera began to think about something that looked important. "Hey dad when can I evolve" questioned the silver eevee. Jax was caught off guard by the question but told her the truth nonetheless "Whenever you're ready but depending on what you want to evolve into we may have to find a certain place to get you to evolve only ok". Kera grew excited as she began to think on what she type she wanted to be. " Can I be a Steel type dad?" Kera began to ask what types she could be. "No sweetheart you can be a fire, water, electric, psychic, dark, ice, grass, and fairy but water and dark are already taken up by Angel and Luna" Jax said as they began to climb to the top of the mountain one step at a time. Kera went back into the nanodex still pondering on what she wants to be. As they get to a spot jax stops the group as it begins to get foggy.
Jax uses his powers to see through the fog and he saw grunts from Teams Aqua and Magma fighting each other but also noticed a group gathered in the center. Jax motioned for the group to stay close and take out any grunts that might come at them but not to use mega evolution until they reach the team leaders. Carmen didn't get anything but the last part. Jax facepalmed as he told her telepathically which gave her a bit of a headache. They began to move out right as they were about to reach the crowd Jax was grabbed by something before being pushed back out. Jax had a large smile on his face as he brought out Gallade and Gardevoir causing everyone to turn to him and the grunts began to attack him with Carvanha, Zubat, Golbat, and Numel. jax gave them the signal to keep going while he distracts them.
The group ran past the battles and saw that the large group was surrounding Claire and Joan battling but weren't getting serious. Carmen was forced keep quiet against her will. As they made their way to the last set of steps they could hear arguing. As they saw where the arguing they saw it was Archie and Maxie who were arguing with over who would get which orb. Carmen couldn't help but laugh at this. They both turn to see Carmen, Gary, and Melody standing there to stop them from leaving with the orbs. Archie gave a malicious grin as he says " why don't we settle this with a tag battle". "I couldn't agree more" Maxie said with a smile " but how about we make this interesting how about we each use three pokemon and whoever has all of their pokemon go down first loses the bet" Maxie continues. "Alright but on one condition we can't attack each other got it"Archie said viciously as he pulled out his first pokeball. Carmen and Gary readied themselves for a battle as Jax walked up the steps with a pile of fainted pokemon and defeated grunts behind him. Stryker and Rosella didn't have a single scratch on them. Stryker wanted a challenging battle as he looked at Archie and Maxie.
"Hey dad can I fight one of them" Stryker asked in a tough but begging tone. "No I believe that this is a fight for Carmen and Gary to finish on their own if you want to fight their are still some grunts to fight down there" Jax said motioning to the grunts that were coming towards them. Archie began to laugh at the comment that Jax made. "If your pokemon wants to battle have him fight one of my main admins" Archie said pointing to a large buff man that was walking up the steps. "That's Matt my best admin" Archie said as he called him over. "Matt this runts pokemon wants a battle what do you say" Archie asked as the buff man pulled out a pokeball in response. Jax accepted the challenge as Stryker jumped into the battle. "I'll finish this with one pokemon" Matt said as he sent out Sharpedo to battle the Gallade who wore a Sword necklace on. Jax linked up with Stryker and stood there. Matt looked at the necklace but the necklace looked more like a lockett.
"What are you looking at strongman" Jax asked as he stood there waiting for his opponent to make the first move. "Alright Sharpedo use crunch" Matt commanded as the shark pokemon jumped at Stryker who just sidestepped it insync with Jax as he sidestepped as well. Jax didn't say anything as Stryker used vacuum wave. Sharpedo went flying into the air and distracted Archie enough for him to lose his last pokemon as well as Maxie simultaneously. "Let's wrap this up with close combat" Jax said as he activated the key stone on his black mega ring. Stryker began to glow as he turned into his new form

Stryker now donned a cape and his blade arms now grew longer as he began to assault the sharpedo in mid air and knocked the shark into the ground. Once the dust from the shark pokemon it showed the pokemon out for the count as Stryker reverted back to his regular form to see a silver blur fly at him. As he looked he saw it was Kera who was now kissing him for his victory. He got up while holding his little girlfriend close in his arms. Jax was surprised that Kera was able to get out of the nanodex without him noticing. As they walked back over to Carmen and the rest of the group to see the orbs were missing. "Jax you and your friends need to go to our team's bases they have taken the orbs and are planning to reawaken the legendary pokemon Groudon and Kyogre and unlock their ancient powers" Claire and Joan said as they ran to Jax. "Alright Carmen you and the group follow Joan to team magma's base i'll go after team aqua with Claire. Melody nodded and covered Carmen's mouth before she could protest.
Jax and Claire quickly made their way to Lilycove city as they saw a team Aqua grunt go into the Lilycove contest hall. Jax had the idea to head into the contest hall and ambush the grunt. As they enter the building they are met with a girl with minty green hair who handed Jax a contest pass. Jax looked confused as he remembered what Melody told him happened back in Slateport city. "Fine i'll enter the cool category of the contest" Jax said as he looked at claire telling her to wait in the crowd and keep an eye out for the grunt. Jax entered the contest and changed into an all black outfit with silver spikes on the vest.
The cool category was up first there were 2 other contestants. First was a girl named Danielle who wore a black and silver outfit and used a Banette and a cool looking shiny grimer. She had a parody version of how we do by the game. She had silver and green fireworks as she danced with the attacks dancing around her with grace. Next was a boy named Johnny who rapped we own it as his pokemon were a hitmonlee and Machoke. He did pretty well for a new comer.
Next was Jax who chose Stryker and Blake for his two pokemon for this performance. The lights went down until it was completely dark. Suddenly music began to play (*---*). Blake let out a flamethrower to light up the arena as the lights came back on to show only two pokemon with no trainer. Blake used another flamethrower as Stryker used psychic to make a cone like shape which flashed purple as it dispersed to show Jax. The two pokemon began to show off how cool they looked as Jax mega evolved Stryker to show his better looks as he winked at Kera who was watching from above the stage. Jax soon finished his performance as he did a back flip to dodge the two attacks to show confetti instead of the embers.
As the show ended it showed that Jax had won unanimously by the entire crowd and judges. Claire looked at him with the grunts outfit in hand. Jax smiled as he changed into the grunt uniform and headed towards the hideout which is on the outskirts of Lilycove.
