Ch.15: The league and the promise

This will be the last chapter of Kanto because I will be starting on hoenn so be ready for that.

As Jax made his way to the next city he began to think about what would have happened if he was to late. A worried expression appeared on his face unintentionally. Asura tried to not pay attention to it as hard as she could. Jax eventually notices that Asura is staring at him. Jax gave her a smile to assure her that he was alright.

They entered the underground tunnel towards Celadon city it seems to be empty so Jax decides to turn into an arcanine and use extreme speed to go faster and Asura hopped on his back. As they got to the end he turned back to a human Asura decided to stay on his back. Jax looked at her with a puzzled as to why she doesn't want to walk on her own. He disregards it and continues to walk until he reaches the outskirts of the city where he stopped by officer Jenny. She asks him if he is Jax.

As he answers yes the officer hands him a small box and tells him to please report to the indigo plateau for the Pokemon league in a few months. The officer soon walked away after giving him the information. Jax opens the box to see five badges from the gyms he hadn't been to yet. He also found a note addressed to him from the elite four. It reads that they thank him for his help in taking down the mad scientist with their unlawful experiments.

Jax decides to head into the city since he has two days before he needs to appear before the elite four for his league challenge. He takes a look around and finds the department store and did some shopping.

The next day he decided to go and visit Tammy and let her know all that had happened. She was surprised that he has gotten strong enough to take down the people that captured him when he was younger. She was proud but also worried for him. Jax went to where his new set of Pokemon were. The new two flew over to him and telepathically told him to take care of him and his friends.

Jax began to train his team against the team he received from Rashad. Mewtwo had gotten stronger since their last battle. The battle ends in a tie as both Mewtwo and Asura both fainting at the exact same time. They decide to take a rest for the day before headed to the league.

As Jax  reaches the plateau he met with the first league members named Lorelei who used ice types. She lead Jax into the league building for his first challenger for his league battle to test his skills. His opponent was a boy named Noble. Noble was a famed trainer who was known to use both water and fire type Pokemon. Jax knew how to deal with fire types because he had two.

Noble sent out a charmeleon and Jax sent out Ashton who was now even stronger after battling the b squad. Noble smirked thinking he had the advantage with the moves he had. Jax allowed Noble the first move. To this Noble told his charmeleon to use sunny day. Jax began to smile as Ashton used rain dance  and then used water gun.

Charmeleon was surprised as it was forced into a wall  by the water gun. Charmeleon tried to get up but had its leg caught under a rock. Ashton used water gun to move the rock off of the fire types leg. Noble was surprised at the generosity of his opponent. Charmeleon used flamethrower to attack the staryu but the rain severely weakened the attack into nothing more than an ember attack.

Ashton didn't even flinch at the attack and retaliated with a hydro pump to finish the injured fire type off.  Noble sent out starmie to face the staryu. Jax thought his next move through and decided to return Ashton and sent out garchomp to deal with the starmie. Noble became very cautious as he didn't know what type garchomp was.

Noble gave garchomp   the first attack so garchomp used dig to get the jump on starmie. Starmie began to look around franticly. Garchomp jumped up from behind and used crunch. This caused starmie to act afraid and began to stop listening to what it's trainer was saying. It used thunderbolt to try and escape but it proved ineffective towards garchomp. Noble decided to return starmie and forfeit the battle.

Noble began to walk away but Jax stopped him to shake his hand for a great battle. Noble shook his hand and told him to teach the elite four a thing or two. Jax promised to give it his best and then some. Jax turned to the entrance to Lorelei's room and walked in. He felt a cold chill run down his spine as he entered the ice cold room. Lorelei stood there wearing a tank top and shorts as if she were Elsa or something.

Jax ignored the cold and began to focus on his battle against his first elite four member. Lorelei sent out dewgong and Jax sent out Kera to assess the power of dewgong and overcome the ice seal Pokemon. Kera began to slide around to confuse the dewgong. Dewgong got very dizzy and began to hit itself in confusion anytime it's trainer gave it a command.

Kera soon hit it with a shadow ball and completely KO'D the dewgong. Lorelei sent out a lapras and Jax saw that Kera was exhausted from running and sliding around. He decided to summon Raikou to aid in the battle. Once Raikou appeared it told Jax that it would fight for him so long as Jax visited the johto region once he was done here. Jax agreed and the two fought side by side until there was only one Pokemon left on either side. Both were badly injured from previous fights in the battle. It was Asura against Cloyster  and the fighting type had the type advantage. Cloyster used ice beam to freeze the riolu in place. Asura couldn't move from where she stood and was too weak to break the ice covering her feet. Cloyster used an aurora beam to finish off the riolu. Jax suffered defeat in his battle and he actually smiled about it and thanked Lorelei for great battle. He left to keep his promise to the legendary beast and headed to johto.

Jax flew to new bark town and made his way to the first route on his new journey. He soon noticed he was being followed by something small. He used his abilities to move out of sight and caught the perpetrator. He realized it was the johto starter Chikorita. He was unable to take another Pokemon on his team so he asked it to go back to the lab where it came from. The Chikorita continued to follow him saying that she wanted a strong trainer and that he had to be the one. Jax looked at her and said the if she would be traveling with him she would need a name. He said that a good name for her would be Chelsea. He also told her that he would not catch her so if she found him unworthy sag could leave of her own free will.

The three made there way to cherry grove city for some relaxation and let all his Pokemon out. Blake decided to run off to play and Jax told him not to go far. Soon he heard blake's scream and the entire group ran to see what happened and found two girls and their Pokemon. One girl with long brown hair and red dyed tips and the other with short brown hair and icy blue dyed types.
