Ch.12: What goes around comes around

After leaving from the tournament stadium Jax sat by the ocean in the city of Vermillion. He was debating on where to go next since he had 3 badges from Pewter, Cerulean, and Vermillion. He pulled out the town map he received in his bag from Tammy. It showed that the next gym was in Celadon city and he would have to pass through lavender town to get there. The quickest way was through the eastern exit of Vermillion city. As they made their way to the entrance of a new route they saw a large object blocking the path. Asura tried to move the object using force palm but it only seemed to send a rippling effect through the object. Jax consulted the pokedex to see if it was a Pokemon. It turns out from what the pokedex said it was a snorlax that was blocking the way. Jax took another look at his map and saw that another way he could go was back through Cerulean city and through a cave to the east. Jax was unsure about having to go back through Cerulean city after what happened last time. Asura felt his hesitation and reassured him that nothing would happen to him on her watch. Jax decided instead of walking back why not just fly all the way back to the city. Jax turned into a Braviary and began to take off as soon as Asura was on his back. As they were flying back to Cerulean city Jax saw that someone was in trouble of being kidnapped. Upon closer inspection Jax noticed it was Tammy who was surrounded by several people wearing all black. Jax knew what he had to do. He let out a loud cry as he swooped down. Tammy seeing this instinctively put her hands up and grabbed onto the talons of the eagle Pokemon as they flew off. The people in all black began to use all poison types to try and knock them out of the sky. Asura swiftly jumped off and used her aura spheres to knock all the attacks away before landing on the Braviary again. Soon they were out of sight of the odd characters. They landed in a small clearing near Cerulean city and he let Tammy down without showing that Asura was on his back. Tammy was confused as to why a random bird Pokemon would come and save her. Jax walked behind a tree as he transformed back to his normal form with Asura in his arms. Tammy could only look on in shock at the site. She hugged the to as thanks for saving her as she cried tears of joy. Jax told her it was an instinct that he learned on his journey. She then punched him in his head and scolded him saying what if someone had seen him transform and reveal his secret. She told him he was reckless before smiling and saying thank you once more. She then asked if she could get a ride home. Jax looked at Asura as she agreed it would be ok. Jax transformed back into the eagle Pokemon once more but this time much bigger so Tammy could ride on his back while holding Asura. It took most of the day to make it all the way back to pallet town. Tammy held out $50 dollars as if to pay a taxi driver. Jax giggled and refused saying that an answer to his next question would be payment enough. At this Tammy was confused to what question the young boy might ask. Jax asked what was it that Asura handed her back at the stadium before he left. Tammy began to burst out laughing as she said that it was a secret between girls only. Jax was confused as to what she meant but disregarded it an took Asura and flew back to Cerulean city. As they landed in a clearing just west of the city Jax transformed back and felt a strong presence coming from a nearby cave. He continued to walk towards the Pokemon center thinking that maybe his mind was playing tricks on him. As they arrived at the Pokemon center he was greeted with a surprise party. Acting out of fear he sent out team fire breaker who were ready to bring down any opponent in their way. Jax soon realized it was just a party and calmed the two fire types before they could use any attacks. They all looked as nurse joy walked up congratulating him on his recent tournament victory in Vermillion city.  Jax was confused as to how she knew but she explained that she got a video call from the nurse joy in Vermillion city told her. Soon a cake came rolling out saying "you can do anything " written in frosting. Jax and his Pokemon decided why not stay for the party and just leave in the morning. He let out all his Pokemon except the eevee twins who were asleep in their Pokeballs already. As the night went on the guest began to leave and head home leaving nurse joy, Jax, and his Pokemon to clean up the mess. Jax soon noticed that Asura wasn't next to him. He began to look around frantically before noticing she was asleep in a chair. Jax woke her and told her to go to the room nurse joy gave him to use for the night. She walked off tiredly as Jax quickly cleaned up the mess. He soon headed to the room and saw that Asura was already asleep so he decided to take first watch so she could sleep. Not long after something hit jax putting him to sleep. When morning came Jax woke up to all of his Pokemon around him. When he tried to move he felt a sharp pain in his side but almost immediately healed it with his powers. As they were about to leave to head for the cave nurse joy handed Jax a small box. As he opened it he saw a large amount of evolutionary stones. He quickly closed it and put it in his bag thanking nurse joy for the gift. As they headed east Jax fought many trainers winning easily thanks to his training methods. Soon they reached the entrance to the cave. He debated if he should use his powers to light the way or have Blake do it. Out of nowhere they all heard a scream come from inside the cave. Blake lead the way with his tail lighting the path. Jax soon saw the source of the screams as a snorunt was being attacked by a group of graveler and golem. Asura jumped in without thinking and took down all of rock types in a matter of ten minutes. The snorunt was grateful for to Asura for what she did to protect him. Jax commented saying that it looks like she has another fan. Asura turned to see the snorunt snuggling against her tail. This creeped Asura out as she ran behind Jax. This upset the snorunt a great deal as he felt like Asura wasn't into him. He began to glow as he evolved into a glalie and began to charge at Jax. Blake was about to unleash a flamethrower but Jax stopped him. He quickly turned his left arm into that of a charizard and used blast burn to stop the ice type in his tracks while also burning him a bit. The ice type began to flee saying this would not be the last of him. The group made their way through the rest of the cave and took a short rest to cool down from a hard trip.
