Ch.28 Feelings and a rematch

Jax and his pokemon woke up in the shoal cave they had remembered sleeping there the night before because Jax had met with an old friend. "Stryker grab Kera we are heading out soon to meet the others" Jax said as he got up off of the hard cave floor cracking his neck making Rosella shiver at the sound as it echoed through the cave. "Where are we going dad" Jesse asked as she sleepily was in rosella's arms. "We are heading to Mossdeep city to meet with the rest of the group" Jax replied while stretching making his voice sound deeper. "Jax i think it is time for my rematch" both Blake and Asura said in unison from the nanodex. Jax rolled his eyes as he teleported him and his pokemon to the shores of Mossdeep city. They felt a strong psychic link coming from the gym but brushed it off for now as he was going to wait for Carmen to take on the gym. Jax sat on a bench near the space station waiting for the rest of the group for most of the day. "Geez where are they" Jax said looking at his nanodex and saw it was almost 3:00 pm. Suddenly he feels there presence draw near to the city he stood on the shore tapping his foot impatiently waiting for the three of them to reach land. 

After another half an hour he saw them and transformed into a Salemence and grabbing the four from off of the pokemon they were riding. As they landed on shore Jax went aroung a corner and turned back into the human form he was usually in but he was now a bit taller. "What took you all so long" Jax said scolding them. "Well maybe if we had your help we could have been here sooner" Carmen retorted with a smirk thinking she had won the argument. "Why didn't any of you call then" Jax said looking annoyed. Carmen facepalmed at the fact that they didn't think of that. "Is it done Joan" Jax asked looking at his spy. She nodded as she threw her team magma uniform into the sea. "Good now hear I nabbed this from the base before I left" Jax said before handing her a bag. "Here this will lead you to the place where  Claire is at head there and meet up with her in secret" Jax said handing her a pokeball that looked to also be a radar. She left and went on her next mission. "As for you two ladies I have some friends who would like a rematch if that is ok" Jax said holding two pokeballs in his hands. "Fine by me but if they want a rematch who do they want to battle" Melody questioned. "Luna and Bruce of course" Jax said with a grin from ear to ear. 

"This will be a two on one battle where the challenger Jax will use two pokemon while the opposing team of Carmen and Melody will use one pokemon each" Gary oak announced before taking a step back so as not to be in the danger zone. "Luna time to win" Carmen said as her shiny Umbreon came out. "Bruce time to shine" Melody said as she sent out her pikachu. "Alright guys you requested this now it's time to shake the stage" Jax said as he threw the two pokeballs revealing Blake the jet black Charizard and Asura the lucario. "Really we have to do this again"Luna complained. "Don't let your guard down you two we don't know what these two are capable of" Melody warned as the two pokemon got into battle stances. "Since we challenged you two you may have the first move" Jax said politely. "Luna use Shadowball" Carmen said as melody yelled "Bruce Thunderbolt".

Jax smirked as without saying a word Blake used Flamethrower to hold off the attacks while Asura used Aura sphere to attack the two unsuspecting pokemon. "Luna on your right use protect to block the attacks for you and bruce" Carmen said as she saw the Aura spheres coming from both sides. "Very perceptive" Jax said before going quiet again. "Why are you so quiet Jax you used to be so talkitive" Carmen questioned with a raised eyebrow. "I have just become more strategic that's all" Jax replied with a smile. "Luna use dig to stay out of their sight" Carmen said as Luna burrowed underground. "Bad move" Jax replied as Asura jumped on Blake's back and Blake used earthquake hitting both Bruce and Luna. "Did you forget that eathquake does more damage if the pokemon is underground" Jax said as Luna surfaced with a few scrapes and bruises as well as a pissed off look. "Come on little fox I thought you were supposed to be stronger" Asura taunted. "Now Asura I understand that are still mad but she is older than you so you should respect your elders" Jax scolded his lucario causing Asura to look at the ground sad. "Alright why don't we finish this battle" Jax said as he snapped his fingers. The air grew still as the sound of the snap reverberated through the area. Suddenly Blake began to use sunny day and Asura charges up several attacks. She used her right foot for Blaze kick, her left foot for High jump kick, her right paw for metal claw, and her left paw for bullet punch. "Now Blake use solar beam and Asura With those attacks set use close combat" Jax said as the attacks were launched towards the opposing teams pokemon. "Stop" as soon as this was said both pokemon stopped there attacks mere inches away from Luna and Bruce. "I think that's enough for now" Jax says as he walks over to a still shocked Luna and Bruce. He sticks his hand out healing them both.

"What did you just do" Carmen and Melody ask in unison. "I healed them now do you want to take this next gym on with me big sis" Jax says. "Sure but what type is it" Carmen asks. "Psychic type" Jax answered. "Let's go" Carmen said as she ran towrds the gym. Jax facepalmed as he ran after her with Gary and Melody trying to keep up. Jax caught up to Carmen with ease as he was using quick attack to keep up since carmen was almost like a raging Tauros when she set her mind on a destination. "Alright we're here guys" Jax said as he and Carmen tied for first place in the race that no one knew was going on. "Alright let's take this gym down" Carmen said walking straight into the doors and falling on her butt. "Maybe you should wait for the doors to open before walking in" Melody said out of breath after the run she just had. "Oh shut it Melody I was just testing the glass to see if it was stronger than the glass on Cinnabar Island"Carmen said in a monotoned voice causing Jax to raise an eyebrow. "What happened on Cinnabar Island guys" Jax asked with a curious tone. Gary shrugged his shoulders as he was interested at to what happened there as well.

"Let's not talk about that now let's beat this gym" Carmen said clearly hiding something. As they walked into the gym they saw two young children standing on the opposite side of the gym. "Well come to the the Mossdeep city..." they were saying together until they were interupted by someone yelling. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOUR PARENTS??? ARE YOU EATING OKAY? WHERE DO YOU LIVE? HOW WELL DO YOU SLEEP? DO YOU NEED HELP???" Carmen began to yell as it looked like she teleported from where Jax was to in front of the two young gym leaders. She suddenly began to float as she seemed to be pulled back over towards her friends. "That's enough of that listen me and my friend here would like to challenge the gym leader can you point us to him or her" Jax asked looking around. "You're looking at him" the young girl said "And her" the boy continued. "Jax began to read their minds to see if they were telling the truth but for some reason he was redirected to Carmen and Melody as he saw what they had been through as well as what they had been hiding. Jax ignored it as he shook his head he thought that if they were going to tell them they would in there own time. "Alright ready when you are kids" Jax said in a somewhat mocking tone to where only Carmen would hear it. "As ready as we'll ever be" the two gym leaders said in sync. They sent out a claydol and a Xatu while Carmen sent out Luna. Jax grabbed a pokeball from his belt and tossed it in the air revealing a black pokemon with a red headress and a yellow gem on its forehead as well as sharp claws. "Alright Luke let's show them your power" Jax said as he looked at his pokemon. "What pokemon is that" Tate said as he looked it up and down. "It's a weavile one of my best pokemon of it's type now let's do this" Jax said anxious to start the battle. "Luke use night slash on that Xatu" Jax says as his weavile flies over towards the other side of the field and slashes throughthe Xatu making it hit the ground hard. 

Xatu tries to get up but immeadiatly faints after falling back down astounding the gym leaders. "Luna use shadowball on that claydol then use dark pulse to finish it" Carmen whispered to where only few could hear the command. The attacks hit the claydol but not before it could fire off a hyper beam hitting both Luke and Luna. Knocking both pokemon out. "Alright everyone send out your final pokemon a robotic voice said. "Lunatone Solrock get ready for some fun" Tate and Liza said in unison. "Alright Jamie stand and fight for the one you love" Jax said in his head as he sent out a pokemon that the two gym leaders were surprised as they hadn't seen before. "This is Bisharp it is a friend that I made awhile back"  Jax explained as Jamie looked at the two floating pokemon across from it. Soon it noticed a Persian appear next to it. "Alright Ruby time to fight" Carmen called. "I'll handle this big sis just watch" Jax said as Jamie lunged at solrock with a metal claw which landed the first time but it dodged the rest of the time. Suddenly Lunatone shot an attack at Ruby to which Jamie blocked with her  hand. "Jamie time to end this use Shadow claw on both of them" Jax said as his Bisharp used the attack with such percision that it looked like nothin happened until both pokemon fell to the groung unconsious earning a win for the both of them. "Congrats on beating us now please except these as a sign that you won" Tate said as he handed them the badges and walked back to hi sister and their pokemon.

Jax and the group decided that they will stay the night at the pokemon center and leave the next morning. That night Jax sat under the stars thinking about what he saw and what will come next.
