Ch. 11: Tournament hardships

As the second day of the tournament ended only 7 participants left three of which were Jax, Tammy, and Randi. As Jax sat in the room with only his pokemon ,since his partner left, he heard a knock on the door. Jax went to open it and there stood the announcer who came to ask Jax what he was going to do since his partner forfeited the tournament. Jax thought for a bit and said that he would battle solo and be allowed to use two of his Pokemon. The announcer agreed to this and proceeded to leave leaving jax with his Pokemon once more. As the night went on Jax began to try and think up some strategies and which Pokemon he would use for the next round. Would he use the eevee twins or maybe team fire breaker (AN: team fire breaker is blake and kurama) or maybe he could use the A-team. Jax suddenly woke up out of his sleep which he had dozed into. He decided he would use team fire breaker but needed to figure out why his shiny charmeleon was always rampaging during battle. He woke up team fire breaker to talk and train them. As they were walking kurama blurted out that Blake had been tapping into his anger for power. Jax began to teach him to control his anger and to use it but not depend upon it. By learning this he unlocked hidden potential he didn't know he had. He learned to use a move to cover his weakness. Kurama followed the example and even learned a new move himself.  The three finally went back to the room after a few hours of training. As the day began it was announced that since there was an odd number of competitors Jax would be by himself and that he would be allowed to use two Pokemon. Moments later the match ups were decided Jax became very pale as he saw that he would be facing tammy and another trainer named Joey. Jax was so hesitant that he could barely move or talk. He didn't want to battle the person who saved him and risk her getting kicked out of the tournament because of him. The match soon began and Jax's eyes begin to change colors and team fire breaker were let loose to battle ariados and a white vulpix which was quite odd to everyone watching. Jax began to regain control over himself and remain silent as Blake let off a series of flamethrowers to distract the opposing pokemon while Kurama snuck up and used flamethrower to hit the odd vulpix knocking it out. Blake and Kurama unleashed their ultimate moves with Blake unleashing a mighty aerial ace and Kurama used energy ball. The ariados was pinned and hit with both attacks. Ariados was bearly able to stand up before passing out. Jax won but was scared that Tammy might hate or even send him back to the lab. As tammy walked over Jax saw and flinched as she reached her arm out to the frightened boy. She began to hold him tight to reassure him everything is alright. Soon after the boy finally calmed down the annoucer walked over and said that Jax would be allowed to bring anyone who participated in the tournament and was still in the arena to battle along side him in the finals. He looked and asked Tammy to fight along side him in the finals. She agreed just as the other match finishes in another arena. The final match soon begins with it being Jax and Tammy vs. Randi and none other than Eddie and his mewtwo who was hidden. Jax soon began to tremble as he remembered what happened back in cerulean city. Tammy looked at jax and then at their opponents she reassured jax that she wouldn't let anyone take him. He looked at her with a calm but still scared expression. As the battle was about to commence Randi sent out her pignite and jax sent out Kurama while noticing Tammy holding an odd pokeball. She sends out the mirage pokemon mew surprising everyone. Eddie call for his mewtwo who was floating above the arena. Jax noticed something was off about the mewtwo and then he realized the mega stone was different as wellbas where it was placed. Jax knew this meant he may be in big trouble if they don't deal with the mewtwo first. Jax warned Kurama to be on his guard against anything the opposing psychic type might try. Kurama heeded this warning and attacked the pignite with an extrasensory. The two psychic types seemingly starred each other down for what seemed like forever. While the fire types duked it out the psychic types took their battle to the sky. Jax quickly tossed his z-ring over to Tammy with the mewnium z attatched to it. He told her to use it quickly before Eddie uses the gem on the mewtwos head. Tammy caught the white bracelet and began to use some sort of dance in order to activate mew's ultimate move Genesis Supernova to completely blast the mewtwo out of the air and making it faint on impact with the ground. The pignite qnd Kurama continued their battle not paying attention to the mewtwo who had already hit the ground. Soon Eddie returned his mewtwo to it's pokeball and left not saying a word. Randi refused to give up the battle against the ever resilient Kurama. The shiny vulpix used another extrasensory to try and finish off the pignite but missed. The mew suddenly teleported behind the pignite and used psychic to hold it in one spot while Kurama fired back to back energy balls at the immobilized pignite. Mew finally let go once pignites blaze ability kicked in. Pignite began to glow with a redish-orange aura. Pignite used flamethrower on the unknowning vulpix expecting jax to tell it to dodge but instead he simply smiled. Soon red eyes appeared from within the flames. Jax explained that kurama has an ability called flash fire which absorbs any fire attack and boosts the fire types fire attacks. Jax told kurama to show them it's true power as he was given back the z-ring and equipped it with the firium z. Jax did the fire type dance and had Kurama use a boosted Inferno Overdrive. Making the fire type pignite faint. As the pokemon were congratulated on their effort in battle the annoucer hand Jax a cash prize of $20,000 which he handed half to Tammy for all she has done for him. Asura came out of her pokeball and gave Jax a big hug on his victory. Jax soon began to walk out of the stadium before noticing that Asura wasn't beside him. He turned to see her giving something to Tammy. Asura quickly ran back to Jax grabbing his hand before they walked out of the stadium
