*speeding to the hospital*

I swear I'm about two seconds from losing my mind! Why?! Why me?! Why my baby?! I just don't know what I would do if I lost him!

*arrives into hospital*

Me: *screams* Where is he?! Somebody help me, PLEASE!

Nurse: Mam calm down! How may I assist you?

Me: I'm looking for my boyfriend, he has been in a car accident!

Nurse: What's his name?

Me: Jamal!

Nurse: *looks at me with sympathy* Please come with me.

Why did she look at me like that? God please don't let me believe he's gone, please! This is someone I just can't live without! I need him every waking second of the day! What am I gonna do if he's dead?! What am I gonna do?!

*we walk into Jamal's room in ICU*

Me: *runs & kisses his face* OMG, baby I love you so much! I promise I'm never leaving your side ever! Baby?!

*doctor walks in*

Doctor: He can't hear you.

Me: What do you mean he can't hear me?

Doctor: His skull was slightly fractured in the accident. The pressure from the car flipping knocked him unconscious.

Me: For how long?! Please tell me only for a little while right?!

Doctor: I'm sorry I didn't get your name.

Me: My name is Melanie...

Doctor: Ms. Melanie your boyfriend has slipped into a comma. He could be gone for days, weeks, or even months.

Me: *starts to breathe harder & cry* WHAT?!

Doctor: I'm so sorry...
