I get a bit tired of swimming after a while so I walk out of the ocean and sit down on the sand. My hair has become strands with loose waves and they hang around my face. Probably not very attractive.
I wipe my hair out of my face and I feel my hair fall on my back. It's long and wavy, I've had this haircut since I was a kid. I don't mind it, I like my hair like this. It can get annoying sometimes, but I'm used to it. It's a huge part of me.
Tal is walking towards me from the sea and sits down next to me. After sitting there for a while staring at the little kids playing in the sea, I ask Tal if we shouldn't go back. 'Back to our parents?' he asks.
'Yeah', is my reply. I'm not really that focused on the conversation, I'm still looking at the nice view. 'Do you want to go back?' he asks, 'because I don't', he finishes.
I think for a while. 'I actually don't want to go back,' I say with a smile, 'This is way to much fun. I am a bit tired though.' He smiles his cute little smile and I sort of melt inside. I know I shouldn't, but well. I can't really help myself if he's being so cute.
'I know this really cool place, but we can only reach it if we swim there. You could rest a little there. Follow me!' Tal says and he stands up. How can he have this much energy left?
'How far is it?' I ask. He shrugs and then holds his hands out so I can get up easier. I look up at him, sigh and then grab his hands. Tal didn't seem to have gotten the hint that I am tired. He pulls me up and I smile at him and mumble a 'thanks'. He is pretty strong, his arm muscles flex when he helps me up. He got me on my feet pretty quickly.
I follow Tal, trusting him we won't get lost. We walk alongside the beach for a while and when we are near a sort of cliff of some sort, Tal walks into the water. The water feels way less cold now. I walk as far as I can, but since I am not that tall, I am forced to swim very quickly. Tal is still walking on the bottom of the sea while I can't stand at that point. After a while, Tal can't reach the sand on the bottom of the sea anymore and he has to swim as well.
We swim to a deeper part of the ocean, to some rocks. 'You sure it's here?' I ask. 'Yes, I'm pretty sure', he replies. 'How sure is pretty sure?' I ask but I don't get a reply. 'We'll just have to swim around these', he says. I just nod and follow him.
We swim a bit deeper and I feel the ocean getting colder and darker. Let's just hope there aren't any sharks here, I think to myself. Luckily, the water is very clear and I don't see any sharks near me.
I look down towards my feet and I do see a little fish beneath me. I smile at the little guy, he is adorable. The fish seems to have noticed me and he quickly swims deeper, where I can't see him anymore. I frown. I just wanted to be friends, and this is what he does? Betrayer.
After we swim around the rocks, there's this beautiful little beach surrounded by rocks. 'Wow, it's beautiful!' I exclaim. We swim to the tiny beach and I lay down in the sand, breathing heavily. I honestly don't care if the sand will get in my hair, that's what showers are for, right? I hope the shower will get the sand out of my hair.
'You ok?' Tal asks and he lies down next to me. 'Yeah, I'm not used to swimming much. The only exercise I can stand most of the time is running. It's not usually done anywhere near water,' I answer. 'Yeah, that's pretty badass', he says and he smiles at me, again. He has to stop doing that. It's too cute. He sits up and I do the same, my breathing has become more regular again.
I look at him. He is still smiling and he looks into my eyes before his eyes wander off to the side of my face, where a clingy strand of hair is partly covering my face. He wipes the wet strand of hair out of my face.
I look at the ground and blush. He really needs to stop that cute stuff, my cheeks can't handle it. 'That's cute', he says. I look up and into his eyes. 'What?' 'When you blush. It's adorable', he says. 'Thanks, I guess?' I sort of ask him and I look back at the sea.
'And?' he asks. 'And what?' I ask him, confused once more. 'Was I worth your number?' he asks with a mischevious glint in his eye. I laugh.
                              'Definitely.'
