For a while, we just sit there. My head is leaning on his shoulder and his arm is around my waist, providing me with more warmth. I have no idea how long we've been sitting here, but I wouldn't mind staying there forever. We don't, the moment was interrupted by my phone going off. I grab my phone from the bag and look at the screen. 'I remember now, I set an alarm so we would leave this place in time', I say and place my phone back in the bag.
I stand up and try to pull Tal off the blanket as well. He holds his hand out for me to grab it so I can help him up. He does the exact opposite; he pulls me down on the blanket with him. I fall on top of him and laugh along with him.
'I didn't expect it to work this well', he says while laughing. 'What did you expect then, you little goblin?' 'I don't know, I just know I don't mind you laying here.' I smile at him and try to stand up. 'No, you're not leaving.' 'But we have to, we'll be too late for the... next part of the date otherwise', I say, after thinking about what to say to not-reveal what we're doing next.
He still doesn't let me go. His legs are wrapped around my legs and his arms around my shoulders and back. I'm really not able to escape. He is laughing while I struggle. After a while, I give up. It's no use. I lay my head on his chest in defeat. 'We really need to go, goblin', I say. 'You're not leaving until I get a kiss', Tal responds. 'You're not going to let me go after that either.' 'Possibly.'
I give in, I'm not getting away either way. I place a kiss on his nose, cheek, forehead, other cheek and the corner of his mouth. 'You've got your kiss, let me go', I chuckle. He shakes his head and pouts his lips. I smile at his cuteness. I place a kiss on his lips and after a few seconds, I feel his legs unwrapping themselves from my legs. I use that moment to let him go and quickly get out of his grip.
'Seriously Julia? Using me like that?' Tal gets up. I place my arms around his neck and place another kiss on his lips. His hands loosely drape themselves around my lower back. I really like how that first part of the date went.
'Are we there yet?' 'No, we're not there yet. This is literally the thirteenth time you've asked!' 'Were you counting, babe? That's so cute!' I feel my cheeks heat up and I focus on the road again. Yes, I was counting but I won't tell him that. 'You better shut up if you want another date', I say. The comebacks today are of really high quality. Not.
'Is that a threat?' 'Yes, it is, so shush.' Tal finally listens to me and doesn't talk for the next five minutes. That's most definitely a record for this car ride.
We finally arrive and I shut off the engine. I step out of the car and Tal does the same. I close my car door and lock the car. Tal brushes with his hand over my arm very subtly and then grabs my hand. Goosebumps are starting to form all over my arm. He so knows he has this effect on me, his smirk says enough.
I grab the tickets from my bag. Tal looks around the cinema. 'What movie?' he asks. I don't say anything, I just keep the tickets out of his reach. He subtly tries to get them but doesn't succeed. We walk over to a guy who'll check our tickets so we can head in.
The guy seems to be in his late twenties and he not-so-subtly looks me up and down. 'Hey, babe. I'm done with my shift in half an hour, shall I join you in your movie then? My phone is broken by the way, it doesn't have your number in it.' He winks and keeps on chewing his gum.
'You do know I came here to watch the movie with my boyfriend, right?' 'So? We can have some fun before he arrives, if you know-' he gets interrupted by Tal, who places his arm around my waist now. 'You do realize I'm her boyfriend? No wonder you're working at a cinema at your age, you're not that smart, are you?' and he walks on. I can see he's really annoyed by the guy and it makes me want to smile. The boy doesn't seem to even care, he just hits on the next girl in line.
